Not a thing...

Some days even my lucky rocketship underpants won't help....

Her reputation was her livelihood.

I'm a pirate, love. By nature and by choice!

My inner voice sometimes has an accent!

My wont? A delicious rip in time...

Hmmm... a nice playlist of music that's on YouTube (eventhough I have most of them on my computer, I'm online, so I like to listen as well as watch the vids, too).

The playlist:

This Is It by Staind

Enjoy The Silence remix by Linkin Park and Depeche Mode

End of All Hope by Nightwish

One Step Closer by Linkin Park

Today, I am apparently all about the Foo Fighters. Not the least reason being that I am attempting to teach myself (with my limited skill) how to play a few of their songs on the guitar (for the morbidly curious, Razor and Another Round are the songs I am currently butchering on my long suffering instruments).

What are you listening to, pirates?

I was at a Hockey game a few weeks ago, and in typical hockey game fashion they played a lot of fast paced rock tunes... At this particular games it almost sounded like the Motley Crue album was stuck in the CD player or something... So since then I have been on a huge Motley Crue kick. Not my usual taste in music, but it is a guilty pleasure I enjoy from time to time.

On the Motley topic, Nikki Sixx's new bad (Sixx A.M.) is entertaining rock for the most part - and the album is a good companion to his book - The Heroin Diaries - which is an edited down version of the diary he kept during his worst drug use, when he notoriously flat lined with a needle in his arm.

I love the Sixx A.M. Album! I haven't bothered with the book, but I have always had a soft spot for concept albums (Roger Waters is one of the best for those IMHO). Nikki Sixx always struck me as one of the more interesting character from the band, and even more so when I discovered back in the late 80s through the early 90s, he was listening to, and being influenced by a number of the gothic industrial bands I was very big on in those years.

Linus and Lucy by David Benoit.

(It's not actually playing anywhere around me, but I'm listening to it, nonetheless.)

Mycroft: "My brother has the brain of a scientist or a philosopher, yet he elects to be a detective. What might we deduce about his heart?"

John: "I don't know."

Mycroft: "Neither do I. But initially he wanted to be a pirate."

Surrender from Tomorrow Never Dies by k.d. lang. Over and over - I stumbled across it again yesterday. Mien Gott, but she has a beautiful voice - it's as good as the best instrument I can think of. I don't even listen to the words...just the intonation. (Why they used that horrific mess by Sheryl Crow as the main theme for the movie is beyond me.)

John: "I don't know."

Currently listening to Faerie radio, part of Live365.com. Really good, haunting, and in a way, relaxing music. I've tried to copy and paste the link, but it won't let me.

However, if you go here, and click into Faerie Radio, (On the right hand side of the site page) you can get into it.

Oh, and BTW, I LOVE Abney Park. Hope to see them in Eugene, OR on Jan. 31st at a masked Bad Faerie/Steampunk ball. :o

I am listening to my personally autographed copy of Abney Park's newest CD release...Eather Shanties!

Their concert Saturday night was outstanding! Ransom danced her little toesies off!

And, I got me picture taken with Robert, the lead singer, and also Nathanial (lead guitar) and Daniel (bass).

These guys are really nice, very laid back. Signed CDs and stuff for a long time after their time on stage was over.
