I don't know how you did the drive Dog. I had less than half the distance and I am beat.

As to the second bottle of Maderiera it was some time before you fell asleep on the ground outside of your tent.

Getting old? I think that happened while you wern't looking ...I know that is what happened with me.

Hmmm lets see, Capt. Pern fell asleep and out of his chair the first time around 2am. So that would make the ghost walk through the cemetery that you were running for yer shoes some where about 1:30 am... So betwixt those two times you landed on yer face in the dirt...oh and you didn't finish off the second bottle, them what were left still sitting upright at the table did...around 3am.

Hats off and three cheers once again to Captain Sinbad and Lt. Brown for a wonderful event. As always the Meka II is a beautiful sight to see in action, especially when one is right alongside in one's private gig. :D Our thanks to the rowing club that damn near kept up with the tall ships, to the town folk that make us feel so welcomed, to all the staff that take such good care of us, and to the historic areas that allow us to play in their backyards.

The second year was even better than the first with the added actions running down Front St. on the way to the green for the Militia, and the use of the jail prior to the trial and hanging. Just wish I could have seen Dutch being shot out of the Meka's rigging, do hope someone got pictures. A special thanks to Pern, Grace and Jack Tar for yer... ahem... company... in the jail. Always nice to know there are others with you during a rough situation. **cough, cough** Thanks to Hatchet Meg for her expert "heckling" and to Willoughby for service to a dying captain prior to his last jig.

It was great to see the Devilmen, the Shadow Players and the Black Flaggers. It is always a pleasure and an honor playing with you lot.

As always, great scenarios, fantastic fighting and the very best of company especially back in the camps Saturday evening, made even more memorable with Rusty Cutlass and his mates playing just for the family. For all the fun during the day, nothing beats the camaraderie of after hours with them we hold dear. Until we cross blades again in Pennsylvania next month, fair winds to ye all.

Well spotted!! Tis indeed our Nick and Finn be on the Dogge's other side. They had just finished firing and were retiring to the rear to reload. The tall chap in the black cocked hat dead center is Maddogge's newest recruit...Gnat... As usual the crewe did an excellent job both here in Beaufort and at Pike. My hat is off to ye all.

Hmmm most interesting bit of this past weekend is a toss up between Maddogge ACTUALLY missing a ghost hunt because he was out cold on the ground in FRONT of his tent, and myself sitting in the jail in shackles when a young girl of seven or so, walked into the cell and announced..."Oh Dad look! This room has a dummy sitting in the corner...." ;) ouch

Splendid!! (i live for details, don'tcha know! ;) ) and not bad for gnat's premier--somethin' t'take home & make his parents proud, i'm sure! (gnat...what a great name, btw! do we want t'know how he came upon it?!)

Congratulations Maddogge, again, it seems. It looks like you guys all had a wonderful time of it. One thing, though..."Fire in the hole!?" I thought we were all going to get rid of that phrase. Its a mining term from a century or so later!

Sorry, pet peeve. I keep it on a leash most times, but it was the lead quote on the front page. Drives me crazy.

That and I'm jealous as hell about all the time you folks spend pyratin'.

We are trying our damnedest to change "Fire in the Hole!" to "Have a Care!" Takes time, but hopefully it will change...
