Jamaica Rose Posted June 16, 2009 Share Posted June 16, 2009 http://www.plankhousecrew.com/festival.html September 18th thru 20th, 2009: The 1st Annual Marcus Hook Pirate Festival Marcus Hook, PENNSYLVANIA Come join the Plankhouse Crew for some merriment and swashbuckly events which will prove to be educational, and will include workshops, deomnstrations, and prizes. You may even meet the famous pirate Blackbeard himself. Friday: Pirate Feast at the Gold Room. All in attendance must be in period clothes. The finalists in the Margaret Pageant will face the final judging by the visiting pirate captains. Saturday: In concert with the Delaware County's RiverFront Ramble, pirates will be roaming the docks and streets of the historic river town, being piratical, and presenting the history of the Golden Age of Piracy and Colonial life in Marcus Hook as it was.
