It's awful quiet in here

It's been quiet in this forum as late so just thought I would just throw something together for the fun of it.....

Several years ago I had the distinct pleasure of hearing the Corsairs at Silverleaf Ren Faire in Michigan. It seems there has been some changes since then and wonder if anybody could make a comment on their recent reincarnation.....

I also would like to recommend to all of you out there that if you have the chance to see "Pint and Dale" grab on with both hands. This Duo is familiar to alot of the East and West Coast Ren Faire people and they do a number of Maritime fests. Singing traditional songs of the sea, along with newer arrangements of some of the old things and newer songs. William Pint plays Guitar, Octave mandolin and Felicia Dale plays the "real" Hurdy Gurdy, whistles, fiddle...

Not long ago I ran across an old Folkways recording of sea songs(like from the 70's) and found William had contributed to it. This is a wonderfully strong duo and you will be glad you gave them a listen....A couple of my favorite songs from them are "The Wreckers" and "Mary Come Down"(from Hugill). But with something like 13-14 CD's out there is alot of music to choose from....

I realize the "Who's your favorite Group" forum has been done, but if you have a personal favorite, write up a bit about them and let us all know!!!!!

Pint and Dale are superb, in fact, Diosa and I do a lot of their songs as duets -- as much fun to sing to as to listen to.

Aye, tis been the quiet 'afore the storm, says I.

The Brigands have been a might busy, finishing up the last dates of our Concert season. We are now back in the studio, recording our 4th CD, titled " X " to be released for Yule-tide this year! It will be a mix of traditional sea songs, new and olde fiddle tunes, some original songs and, for the first time, some of our X-rated songs from The Bawdy Show.

Pirate music at it's best, from 1650 onwards

oi, how goes it ya surly idleheaded foot licker. i understand tis cold weather where yer lady, er what ever she is... have ye darned her socks yet???

Ah Butter Box, ye 'ector ye. Such a 'en 'earted fellow indeed..... me foot tis a stabbing and shooting pain, ye must be confusing that with yer issue of burning and itching, since ye be already burnt... tis them buntlings ye are always under that does it to ye... as fer "my" lady. She be no more than a buttock and sham file. Being a cockish wench, she were always the buttered bun... so I cut 'er adrift... be yers fer the taking, I am done with 'er. But from the likes of yer condition, seems ye already done so... 'aven't ye 'eard of using a sheath?
