Here's the skinny on my Witch relative.

Sarah Averell was born about 1630 in Ipswich, Essex County, Massachusetts. Sarah is the daughter of William Averill and Abigail Hinton and sister to William above.

Sarah married John Wildes on November 23, 1663 in Topsfield, Essex County, Massachusetts. Sarah and John were the parents of Ephraim.

Sarah is one of the persons accused of witchcraft at the infamous Salem Witch Trials. Sarah was hanged as a witch on July 19, 1692 in Salem Village, Essex County, Massachusetts.

not sure capn' revenge. if someone can make a periodly correct connection we'll look into it. in the mean time-

30 DAYS BEFORE WE START SETTING UP!!!!!

Reading Royalistes post, she's looking beautiful and ready to strut her stuff. I brought back one of the small boat contracts yesterday and crews are spiffying up their toys and gear. Heck, even we are mending some old canvas and will hopefully have the new old girl up. Its shaping up to be a great year.

My most humble apologies... my crew, has a tendency to try and take in all of the time frame of the GAoP not just the mariners side of it... circa 1705-06 Grace Sherwood is being accused of witchcraft and called to trial right down the road in Williamsburg. Given the superstitions of the time, the average joe living in the area might have heard about and taken an interest in such proceedings especially since Salem, in 1692 didn't happen that long ago and is still in the time frame of the GAoP.

Ahoy Blackbeard's Crew... not looking at a map or being familiar with that neck of the woods, I do hope one and all are safe and sound after the three tornadoes...

Chime in when you can and how does this, if at all, affect the festival? Hope all is well!!

No effect on the Festival all the damage is south of the James River. Contacts over there say it's a mess and require massive cleanup but no fatalities.

Oi, Blackdog? What types of 'dishes' are you looking for? There are a few good 'one pot' period correct meals I've found.

Please let us know.

Ahoy mates - someone asked if we were going to do any seafood chowders. I think we had scrapped a enough barnicals off the hull the last haul out to manage something. Might have a bit of a crunch to it though. Hmmm - barnicles - anyone know a period recipe for barnicles??? <_<

One more thing - visiting pirates - please feel free to bring down the family pet - we need to have something to test our new spit out with. I don't care - dog or cat - maybe even a hampster to two.

lol - oooooook - so it might not be that bad - buuuutt. We do have plans well underway and are putting the finishing touches on everything. I plan on posting ingrediatants for each pot at the serving tables.

hopefully we won't need any stomach pumps this year :(
