Thanks and if you could post the time for that casting call would be a big help as well, unless the time you gave me at lunch is still firm.

After a rugged but successful haulout, Thursday last saw ROYALISTE relaunch at Jarrett Bay, NC....We are berthed back at Old Beaufort Seaport, and extremely busy uprigging for this summer's voyaging. Mizzen topmast is repaired and swayed up...Main gaff is repaired and in place. Weather's a little funky today, but when it clears, the Main Course yard will be rigged and the Course hanked on. I'm in the middle of the construction of the new Main topmast, and by next week, it and the Main tops'l yard and tops'l will go up. The powder is in the magazine, and the crew are aquiring their tans early....ther's a lot to accomplish 'afore she sails, but ROYALISTE will be ready for Hampton, lock, stock, and all barrels!

Ahoy ye Cooks coming to the fest - seems we had a few last minute changes and may need a bit o'help this time through. I have a plan in the works to feed all for the period dinner on Saturday. We are actually doing all the cooking in camp - or almost all of it. If I understand things correctly we will be serving on dry land. I am hoping to have most of the real work completed by breakfast on Saturday morning and really need folks to tend the fires and stir the pots to keep the victuals from burning. I am hoping we will have enough cooks / fire tenders to make short shifts for all who can help. At this point I believe we have all the pots we will need but I am waiting to hear from one last source.

The main courses are pretty much set. I am working on getting a few vegitarian items as there are a few of THOSE amoungst our lot. Folks - if you know of food allergies I need to know - you never know what I am dropping into the pot.

Please contact me so I can get a head count of who can help - I need for this to be a commited group because that frees folks up to be part of the programs.

Contact me here or send me a message / email as you like.

Cap'n Sterling,

Let'em know I am easy to work with - hehehe - at least till I get into the rum. As long as things are going along well - I do try to stay out till after the dinner is complete.

Not at Blackbeards... I am part of them corrupt gov't officials... It will cost ye each a bottle of rum to walk my docks (Hurricane can get by with some of that red wine of his)...The big house on the corner be mine **turns to point it out** Damnation tis gone...just like the boat...

But then again, IF the bounty is good... ahem... I am sure to have a warrant or two tucked away in my pocket... I always do... what better way to nab them as they be coming fresh off the boat.

It's been a brutal week, but our new topmast is finished and already swayed up, along with the tops'l and course yards,so..we're back to square-rigged and happy for it! Uprigging is complete, minus some rigging and line changes, and most of the painting is done. Hampton is in our sights, bringing up the question, 'Whassup with the docks this year?' Steel dock again, or? And if it be the steel Army docks, what be the installation plans?..Depending on the weather, we may be right on time, or..we may have to sail a few days early....inquirin' minds wanna know,eh?.....As for tarriffs or taxes, the ship's four pounders are always ready to say 'Duty Free'..........

Hmm, if'n that be the case, then we'll be skippin' this event, and sailing directly for the Hudson. It doesn't pay enough for any headaches. Actual ship's crew are on duty from May thru October, with very little room for frivilous conduct outside their realm..you may find them with humour, but generally the deck crew take voyaging rather seriously. Plan on docking the Archangel instead,eh?

royaliste- dockage will be the same as in the past. i'm not sure where your position will be this year though. i'll see what i can't find out for you.

um capn' sterling.... those words may result in a revolt... mind yer tongue and actions as ye may find yourself tarred, feathered, burned in effagy.... hampton has never been partial to corrupt officials.
