ladies and gentlemen . . . . .60 days to go.

just heard from pern, sites are being plotted. storylines are coming together. i ordered my powder this morning and am hemming my new trousers. the long boats are swelling after being out for the winter.

on the mom front, she had the first knee replaced and was up with PT within three hours- didn't get far- but was up and walking. "if i make it 50 feet i can go home right?" shes bound and determined to be at the festival this year.

Huzzah for Pern and for yer mom, mate. . . . we'll have to make sure she gets an extra ration of rum for the effort!

Sterling is getting ready to set all the Ladies "humming" once more...:rolleyes::huh:

Lilly's eyes narrow as she watches her Virginia Sea Captain sit there in self-pride and pomp.

"Humming?!" She says with a nare-do-care tone. "What's this they say about my Captain?! Aye, we must talk you and I, Captain!"

Saw the posting for the Calendar Post and it is swimming about on the bottom of the main menu page for all to see!

Cannot wait to 'have at it' this May/June!

ok cheeky,

word is you may be able to hold your own against some of our fine virginia belles at the ball. if thats the case you may find yourself with a full dance card and not have time for the good sea captain......

... of course, thats just a rumor.......

Just an FYI. The Kalmar Nykel will not be at Hampton but they will be in Yorktown about 20 minuets away. This is something worth doing if you are so inclined. If you want the schedule check it out on Kalamar Nykel Tour Schedule

Sorry lass not seeing the Yorktown info... perhaps for early Friday, although a number of us were thinking Williamsburg or Jamestown prior to things starting over at Blackbeard's... once the event officially starts the crewe is committed to being onsite...

**chuckling to self**

Good frees me up for all those "humming" lasses... snigger. One does take a fancy to a girl who will "sing fer her supper."

But then again, knowing me, I will be discussing business matters all night long..

Hmmm ...should have checked the schedule first. I swear it was there last week. They are still tweaking the schedule. Heck, I sail with them (I hope) and I will be in Hampton. LOL ...just thought I would get the info out there.

Just an FYI to all of you who will be going to the Pirate's Ball on Friday night.

I just called the VASC Museum (Hampton, VA) and Tammy (x705) informed me that the tickets for this event HAVE NOT gone on sale yet.

She mentioned that their website will have them posted some time next week and that we are to go to the following location:

www.vasc.org - look on the right hand site where there it says "Celebration by the Bay" and click on the Blackbeard Logo. This will take you to where you need to fill out the information regarding the purchase of your tickets.

Tammy expects that the website should be up by the middle of next week.

One quick question.... do we need to schedule time for our cooks at the cook fire? Or if everyone decides to cook at the same time it won't be a problem?

cookie usually has coals ready by seven or so. should be plenty of room, no problems with sharing the fires--- but if yours is better than ours..........

the only problems we've had is breakfast and rousting folks out of the sacks. friday night and saturday morning seem to get mixed. casting call and the safety briefing comes mighty early. by then we're up and running sometimes not getting lunch resulting in some cranky crew members. its hot and humid, might want to remind folks to pack a little something in the snapsac or ditty to nibble on. given archangels location i don't think you all will be hungry or for lack of libation throughout the day- lucky buggers.
