Coffee or tea?

Ok while some of us can drink our rum at all hours, I sit here in the early morning with me cup of coffee. Rum just doesn't help me wake up like it used to. I got a blend of French roast coffee beans and chickory that I made myself and I like a lot. What else do you all imbid in?

Git up of your asses, set up those glasses I'm drinking this place dry.

I enjoy caffeine through a variety of delivery systems...

When out & about, I usually have coffee. Don't make it much at home though.

At work, I am just as likely to hit the coffee pot as brew tea, depending upon my mood/taste at the time. At home, it's two cups of tea in the morning.

When I have the time (and enough uncluttered surface area) to give the tea fuller attention, I bring out the gong fu set and brew up some Tieguanyin, Lung ching, or Pearl Jasmine tea.

Mainly, I do tea and cocoa....

All different kinds of tea, but the top two are Irish Breakfast & Earl Grey with a tsp of sugar...

Used to drink plenty of coffee in my youth, but then was sworn off it by doctors (kidney stones) for three years or so... then was given the thumbs up to drink it and wow, it was horrible! Lost my taste for it. Now I might have a fru-fru coffee drink here an' there, but not straight up coffee. Still smells wonderful, but blech...

Other caffeine sources; iced tea, pepsi...

When I was younger, I used to lovingly hand-grind my special blend and have two cups of coffee every morning. Only problem was that on the days I didn't do this I'd have horrific headaches. Since I'm already prone to those, I made the tough decision to give up coffee. Although I still have it every once in awhile - for example, when I was in Jamaica, I didn't turn down the Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee (if you ever get a chance, try this coffee - it's amazing.)

Now it's herb teas and the occasional Japanese green tea for me.

I usually have coffee with 1 package of Sweet n' Low, and powdered creamer in either regular of French Vanilla.

I can easily down at least three to five cups in the morning, but usually four is my limit.

On days when I'm not feeling well or just want something to warm me up in the afternoon of say a rainy day, then it's tea. I love Twinnings, Irish Breakfast tea, Yamamotoyama- green tea, and a true Jasmine Chinese tea.

I don't do caffeine frequently but when I do, I like to feel it!

For coffee I always get a 20oz americano straight. Takes me all day to drink it though or I get so wired I actually get sick.

For tea I drink herbals, red clover, Honeybush or peppermint with a bit of agave and usually at night or when I'm sick & need to warm up.

Coffee in the AM.

I take my coffee like I take my women.... cold and bitter....

Then I switch to iced tea in the evenings.

i drynke both i always grind my beans fresh i get 5 lbs of beans a year from an old schoolmate who now owns a plantation on kilamanjaro in kenya which i take to a roaster in reading ,pa ..i also enjoy either kona or blue mountain ...

as for tea i have always hated the taste given off by tea bags so i use loose teas always keep earl grey around and a breakfast tea either english or irish white jasmine tea for late evenings with a friend ...but my all-time favourite is a green tea known as GUNPOWDER TEA (go figure!!!):rolleyes:B)B)

at least 2 pots of coffee a day and several times a week a large pot o' tea

the one kind of coffee i can't abide is STARBUCKS it all tastes burnt to my palatte

never drynke either beverage cold just never got the taste for them and unsweetened and no milk cream

and i drynke coffee (high-test) right up until i lay down to sleep and i sleep like a baby ....but at my age the only draw back is having to get up all night if you know what i mean :)

Tea, for sure. I have a whole collection of it. Usually in the morning I drink Irish or English breakfast teas - two, three cups, with just a touch of sugar.

I also have a penchant for smoked teas, like Lapsang Souchong, or Russian Caravan tea (my husband hates even the smell of them LOL). I also love Ty-phoo tea, which is so fine it looks sorta like gun powder. One of my favorites, and which I can't find anymore, was by Xanadu, and called Star of Persia. It was heaven!

I don't drink herbal tea of any kind. It all tastes like grass clippings to me.

For a treat, every so often I buy a Chai Tea from Dutch Bros. (They're like Starbucks, only better! Based in Grants Pass, doncha know :D )

I gotta have my cuppa coffee in the morning......Or I can't get started.....

So.... will make a cup (or two) of coffee, that I run through an espresso machine to brew...... Strong, hot and sweet.... (2 sugars....)

But after 7 at night, I can't drink anything caffinated, or I'm awake all night.... so coffee, tea or cokes are out.... (well I sometimes mess-up with a few evening rum and cokes....)

So I will drink Red Zinger Herbal tea ... I make a large mug with three sugars...

Well it's coffee for me in the morn for sure...sometimes a lil rum added but it all depends on the morning...lol  .

I love Nestea Ice tea and drink that in the evening. Red Zinger is good as well...I like the Lemon Green tea a bit better though.

Best coffee I ever had was grown off the sides of Mt. Kilimanjaro. I don't remember the name but will never forget the taste. If you see any that is from there try it. It has such a lush rain forest at it's base that it grows great coffee beans.

Flavored coffees. Current favorites are chocolate caramel drizzle and chocolate truffle raspberry. Can't drink tea....I think I'm alergic...when I drink it my throat feels like it's closing up! <aak>

I love both. I drink hot coffee in the mornings to wake up, and iced Earl Grey tea the rest of the time. :o
