  1. From the album: Pirate Art

I drew this around Halloween several years ago. about that time, I came across a wonderful rendition of 'The Dark Lady' by the Rambling Sailors on Youtube, and became enthralled with it. Thus this Ghost ship done as a seasonal drawing for Halloween on Deviantart, become Baron La Bonne's ship
  2. From the album: Pirate Art

I called this ship 'the indigo pirate' in reference to her slight resemblance to Baron Gruda's Frigate from the movie The Crimson Pirate. Indigo, being a version of blue, while crimson is a version of red
  3. From the album: Pirate Art

I have a friend who's a little younger than me, he's expressed interest in pirate re-enacting, but is mostly unable to so he roleplays and writes stories on deviantart which concern a fictional character of his invention who is Blackbeard's Son, This was my attempt to do a mock-up of his inherited ship in a period woodcut style I'm no expert so I'd be happy for critiques and opinions as woodcut pen drawings seem to resurface now and again in my art
  4. From the album: Pirate Art

Again This Pirate ship of the line of French origin had an excessive story about her. I reversed my usually favored color combo of black hull, red sails and based the quartergalleries loosely on those in a drawing of a ship near the end of one of my books. I drew her at a time when I was enthralled with ships of the line under pirate command after seeing screenshots for Pirates of the Burning Sea but being unable to play the game. I realize now in re-examining her, she'd likely be top-heavy, I still like the design though.
  5. From the album: Pirate Art

I wrote a whole elaborate story about this French ship. I designed her rig after the HMS Mordaunt. I have seen the crescent shaped blades on her yards depicted in a couple of my books. As near as the the author could tell, they were likely used to slice through rigging of ships coming alongside to board
  6. From the album: Pirate Art

the second art trade I did with BillyBones0704 on Deviantart. this was aken from another drawing i did of myself.
  7. From the album: Pirate Art

another piece by a friend from deviantart. They took this drawing from my outfits drawing also in this folder. he and I have done a number of art trades. and his work is also incredible. He is working on a pirate comic. and it is incredible so far.
  8. From the album: Pirate Art

a friend of mine from Deviantart did this for me as a gift. his ships are truly something else, as you can tell. He drew the details of the Sea Reaper better then I did. I need to pay him back eventually.
  9. From the album: Pirate Art

a realism and shading attempt. My mom and sister thought it was particularly good.
  10. From the album: Pirate Art

the maindeck and quarterdeck above view cross section. More will fallow, down to the bilges.
  11. From the album: Pirate Art

a side view cross section of my ship. I used to do cross setion drawings all the time.
  12. From the album: Pirate Art

my ship. the terrible leviathan called the 'Sea Reaper' built for a French nobleman to suit his vanity to get him out of France, taken by pirates, and turned into a terrible flacgship. A third rate mounting 37 broadside guns, four aft guns, four fore guns, and six morters and a long tom. a crew of about 700. the fourth mast makes her fast as any frigate, the long range guns give her the ability to stop a ship that would've escaped normally dead in the water.
  13. From the album: Pirate Art

I was trying to capture the spirit, feel and flavor of a Howard Pyle painting with this. The feeling of the freedom of the seas, and adventures with pirates. I hope i succeeded. My mom and sister said this one was particularly good.
