  1. The duck's foot pistol was never really ment to be a precision shootin piece but more of a deck sweeper . And it was meant to be used at close quarters so aiming wasn't really all that important. A real nasty piece of work , that is if it fired.
  2. She offered her honour and he honoured offer and all that night long he was on her and off her ...

  4. I love bein one the water mostly power craft so far , I have had some experience with sail . I'm a rag hanger at heart. I am working on purveyin me own sail boat so that I won't have to rely on the charity of freinds or strangers to get out on the salt sea. I love classic boats and Ships and I am a fast learner when it comes to remembering what what all the lines an sheets does. And I don't mind heights so goin aloft aint a problem .
  5. There once was a Lassie from Brides who ate some green apples an died .The apples fermented inside the lammented an made cider inside her insides There once was a lady named Harris whom nothing could ever embarrass untill bathsalts one day in the tub where she lay turned out to be plaster of Paris ...
  6. :) I was just sittin ere thinkin that if I were to be able to take somat back with me I figured it would have to be a good reliable wind up chronometer that ways I would be able to figure out my longitude rather than relying on the glass to keep me hours. Waterproof of course..

  10. Mr MacVox I has gots ta tell ye that that talk like a Pyrate site is as sick and twisted a site as ever spied. And I loved every single page , it brought tears to me eye and I almost didn't make it to the scuppers i were guffawing so hard . I thank thee fer the soundings on the site.. I particularly liked the section " Asks capt'n Slappy.."
  11. Pyrate skivvies just naturally stands on their own an by the time we're through with em you should be able to use em instead of holy stones when srubbin the deck...
  12. Greetins an salutations to all ye good brothers an sisters . I have just returned from seeing P.O.T.C. and I was spellbound by the action sequences and the intensitty of the swordplay . I have been readin all this here jabber about the authenticity of the costuming but I think that that the subtlties of the the correct dress will be lost to the general public who are enjoying for the first time in years a truly exiting an entertaining swashbuckler. Most fellers won't care how many staves there are in Elizabeth's corsit but a broadside of siver knives, forks an spoons now thats entertainment. Rember ta keeps yer powder an don't let em catch you knapping..
  13. Hail and greetins me heartys. I thank thee for the information on the gun sights er I mean sites and should time and coin allow I hope to aquire at least one fer me own entertainment an amusement.

  15. Avast me hearties I have just been readin a book by a feller named Bjorn Larsson . It is called interestingly enough Long John Silver " The true and eventful history of my life of liberty and adventure as a gentleman of fortune and enemy of mankind." It is a fairly well written book and it fleshes out the character of Long john Silver. A good read for a quiet night .
  16. Where might a soul find this type of music and under what section in the store might it be found ? " folk ? International ? Celtic ?"
  17. I don't know if comedic pirate movies count but one my favorites is Yellow beard wich has a few of the Montey Python's crew in some of the key rolls. As for newer movies I am kind of partial to cutthroat island ,lots of action fast paced and noisy ..
  18. Hail an greetins me Bucko I has just been to the site you refered to www.woodenshipsmusic.com/ an I were fair impressed I was . I thank thee and I wish thee fair winds an calm seas .
  19. Might any of you good souls know where a decent , honest , kindly and hard working fisherman might find a purveyor of good solid cannons . I've gone to the Steen cannon web site but they don't make naval type guns , and anyplace else I have inquired say that they don't recomend the firing of blackpowder in their replica guns. A cannon that does'nt belch flames or sound like thunder isn't much fun ...
