As Friday is my 40th (arrrgh) birthday, mayhaps I will drag my family to the faire! :) Weekend after next is an SCA event I be dragging them to as well.... my family is my anchor. ROFL. - Grayse, be draggin that anchor everywhere!

I am a landlubber by default. I did have my day when I was a kid, I even sailed for two weeks on the Adventuress. Oh it was GLORIOUS! We had a nasty storm, girl scouts hurling over the sides, but I got bow duty and tied in to watch for logs my whole shift just LOVING it! I think I was the only one that ate and kept it down besides the regulars from the ship. Now a days the closest water is the pool in my yard, or the rivers flowing down both sides of the nearby city of Orting. Not deep enough for more than a raft. Should I hoist the Jolly Roger on my bike as I pedal towards the mountain next time? - Grayse

~new here and a bit shy, but wanted to interject~ As a pirateMom and driving my pirateMinivan, I find short and sweet catches my eye better than something longwinded. I am new to the piracy biz too! I am in Washington, as land locked as could be in the foothills of Mt. Rainier. My family and I are joining SCA, we thought pirates would be excellent choices to re-enact, I found this site searching and I have already subscribed to the mag! YAY. I am looking for help with researching Piracy during the ages SCA fits around.. we are wanting to be Christian Pirates, I know they were out there, and are even building a Ship. (Well its based on a fifth wheel trailer, but will have sleeping quarters on both ends and a large open deck in the middle with a plank of course.) I would love to have a chat with anyone.
