  1. It is January, a depressing month, I have started spring semester also depressing. I need a diversion from school and the winter blues and was wondering if any pyrates in Minnesota meet up for fun. Is there a club that I can join or any events planned for this winter? 2. Hi RumbaRue, They are truely beautiful feather pin. On picture Feather#1 I think I saw male Eclectus feathers. The pin on the second row...second from the right I believe were the Eclectus feathers. I just lost my male Eclectus last night. He died at the ER at 1:45am. I am thankful I was able to hold him and comfort him during his last moments in this world. I still have two mini macaws that are hale and hearty. They just finished their moults and as always I keep the best ones that are not all ratty up. Your feather pins are beautiful..oh I said that already. I might be interested in traiding macaw feathers for a project done in what is left of my Eclectus feathers. Parrot_feathers
  3. Normally I love the MN Ren Fest. This year I could not attend as I was working weekends. Next year I hope to make it. However when I went out there in my full pirate gear I got the feeling I was not too accepted by the festies. A friend of mine that works there told me they like to make fun of people who garb up but not in the traditional ren fest stuff. I guess a reproduction of pirate garb was not traditional enough for them. I felt out of place. I would love to go back out there and meet up with folks that garb up in pirate. Its always better to be part of a group then alone dressed up like that. Take care, Parrot_feathers
