  1. It was cute. I carry a change purse with several fake pieces of eight. Blue Mermaid's boots came untied, so she sat down on a bench under a shaded tree, I knelt down to tie her boot when suddenly a little boy around six years old came up to me with a smile and said, "Hey! No Pirates allowed here!" I just finish with the boots, stood up and reached into my change purse. I handed the boy a big shiney piece of eight. I bowed and told him, "fer yer troubles sire." The boys eyes lit up and ran to him mom. "Mommy, that pirate just gave me pirate money!"
  2. I just discovered this thread and it did pose an interesting question. I may be a bit late in the game, but I figured I would put my two cents in. Okay, where is my soap box? I belong to a well known three-piece patch club and have been so for the past six-years . Do I consider these guys "modern-day" pirates. Absolutely! (Sorry Bo, had to disagree with you on this one.) I could go on attempting to explain, prove or disaprove. However, I live with these guys and I know. We have a very tight unity that is very loyal to each other. We fly our flags (colors) with pride (additionally, it is hard not to find someone displaying the Jolly Roger we sail the wind, and we like money, booze, women, sharp objects, guns, and we don't play nice if you don't play nice to us. Obviously, we don't rape, pillage, or plunder as they did in the GAOP. Our current society through time has learned from mistakes and people just are not made to act or behave in the manner they did in the GAOP with the few exceptions of serial killers and such. Motorcycle clubs are NOT gangs, nor are they common criminals. If some person came and asked "what gang are you with?" This goes back to the not playing nice part.
  3. I wish I could answer that one myself. In the past, I enjoyed the colder weather better. When it's cold, you can dress warmly. Additionally, nothing is better than sleeping in a warm cozy bed. When it's hot, nothing can be done to stay cool while you are outside and I am sure that getting naked in public is not acceptable (either for the person getting naked or the people getting forced to watch us). However, I am slowly changing my mind. I am definately growing more fond of the warmer weather. When it get's hot, my option will be to dawn a hat! The one thing that I hate very much is getting those allergies everytime there is a dramatic weather change. The sneezes that kind of "hang" there make me go mad!

  5. Captain Sterling! My apologies gentlemen Sire. I failed to flip the page and immediately see yer greeting. Good to hear from you my friend!
  6. My dear friends. So good to hear from you all! Callenish, so good to hear from such a fyne Veteran Pyrate of the pub with such great insightful writing. Definitely great knowledge gained from you my friend. Miss Ransom, my Jeweled Jewel Pyratess. I still cherish my beautiful gift you made for me. Good to here from you m' lady. Oderlesseye, the artistic Pirate with a great sense of humor. You can always make us laugh! Miss Silkie Smooth. Many fond memories with ye m' lady. The night in the darkened pub over a glass of rum. How ye swooned me with your Irish song. So lovely. Jacky Tar..Ha! Another Pirate who makes me laugh! Put you and Oderlesseye on a stage, you two would be a natural hit! Aye, thank ye Miss Black Syren. Once I figure this "new" pub sight, I will download the photos as soon as possible. She will be two in June. Quite hard to believe! I must say, she has her mother's temper, personality, and big "Blue Mermaid" eyes. Thank you Miss Iron Bess. I am privileged and honored to be greeted by Another Veteran Pyratess from this pub that has shared her knowledge for all of us to gain from. So good to be back. Yes, you will see me much more often and I am looking forward to meeting some of these newer Pyrates as well.
  7. Aye, here I am back in the presence of me good friends, and by the way of doing a little trolling in the shadows, I could see many new names and faces in this beloved Pub. No grand introduction here. No false pretenses or trickery of any Colonel Walker the pyrate hunter or Mogadisho Ahmed (can't recall the exact name) of the modern Somali pirate recruiter. Just yer humble pyrate Blackfoot toasting you all with me fond memories and some good times. Cheers!
  8. Whew! I thought there be a conspiracy upon me. With me lil' Mohamed Abrashim thing I presented, I figured the "Pyracy Pub" Governor or the FBI blocked me from the website and placed me on the terrorist list fer trying to recruit fer hijackin' vessels. I actually had me son come in and read the page that popped up to determine "if it was me or the site." He told me the site, but I still was not fer sure until I reached Bilgemunkey who told me all that I needed to know. Good to be back and not going to prison!
  9. Aye! Couldn't miss out on this Birthday Cheer for the pretty Miss Rumba Rue! 5'2''? Now that's cute! You could be like a wee plaything fer me to pick-up and carry you around like me own lil' doll! Happy Birthday Luv!
  10. Me eyes have been stricken! Stricken with a beauty no other beauty could stand beside. (Besides a beautiful lass). I have been brought a most precious gift from the lovely Miss. Ransom. Tis' a beautiful Piratey bracelet made for your most humble and disobediant pirate Blackfoot. In addition, tis' an honor to be Miss. Ransom's first pirate caller! Thank ye Miss. Ransom. Tis' a true and beautiful work of art made from a gentlewoman of fortune to a gentleman of fortune. Thank ye kindly dear.
  11. Ha ha! Speak o' the Devil himself! Yer ears must have been ringin' while you were visitin' Ol' Davey Jones himself. That's where I just returned from (He does have the best Rum a humble Pyrate can ask fer!) and tis' so good to see you back! Happy birthday ye ol' chum bucket! Good to see ye friend.
  12. I enjoyed "Blackbeard: Terror at Sea" with James Purefoy portraying Blackbeard. Great movie. I have been looking for it on DVD for quite some time.
  13. Aye, Tis' so good to hear from me dreamy lass Miss Merrydeath! I had once crept in (under me own guise of Blackfoot) and began a post for your wonderful up and coming birthday. But, I don't think ye recognized me. That be alright though. I am but a humble Pyrate not wantin' recognition but only wealth and "infame" if ye know what I mean Darlin'. Capt. Bo! Tis' liken myself. Ye visit ol' man Hobbs in the deep and surely return back to the livin'. So good to see ye mate, The time is still not buried to unstable our steeds and meet halfway for a good cold tub o' Grog!
  14. Speaking of "Bikers", you can see a whole different personality of "yer humble Pyrate Blackfoot" with this link. http://www.bikerornot.com/avmcstriker
  15. This may sound a bit strange to some, but I think I will have some agreement here. Recently, I watched one of these crime shows where a "treasure-hunting" high school teacher hired a "professional treasure-hunter" to assist him in finding sunken ships laden with gold and treasure. The hired hand reminded this teacher that "he seemed like a pirate from the Golden Age and he 'just had that pirate swagger." Make a long story short, the teacher had dished out thousands of dollars to this man and the man took off with loot. The teacher referred to the man as a "modern day Golden Age of Pirate..Pirate. Not because of the crime, but because of his personality and demeanor. What my point is (and I am not referring to our presence at a Ren Faire) but anywhere in public in our day to day life is can you "recognize a pirate in public?" You are walking down the street in normal modern day clothes and you happen to pass by a person you have never met. Lets say...Captain Sterling, Patrick Hand, Matt L, Lady Barbossa, anyone! Could you tell this person "is a pirate?" Sometimes, this person may not even know it if ya know what I mean." I have been to places where I have met a "piratee type of person." I hang around with tons of bikers. When I party with them, I almost liken it to partying with pirates. I think if I walked by some of you, I would probably recognize that you have some "pirate qualities" Am I crazy or is it just late and my mind is driftin'?
  16. I must admit I do admire the lovely Miss. Ransom and her work. As a matter of fact, I have requetsed Miss. Ransom to make a bracelet specifically for the "humble pyrate Blackfoot" and I have given her free reign on the style. All I requested from the lovely Miss Ransom is keep it free from the "lady-like design" and to give it a bit o' swagger!
  17. Aye, thank ye all fer the warm welcome back. Tis' has been a long time from ye olde pub. I hope to post some recent images of the little lass once I get back from my visit to California. Speaking of which and I do believe I have mentioned this before....I HATE FLYING! Seriously, I have a doctor's appointment a few hours before my flight so I can get my anti-anxiety pills. Mix with a bottle of rum and whalah, I hope life will be so much better for me and this flight!
  18. No pity party here. Life must go on. However, I will be leaving for California on Aug 1. My heart gets heavy at times and I get the somber lump in my throat. Why all this? I think my Dad is lying on his death bed.
  19. Ha Ha! Greetins' me fellow Pyrates! I am supposin' ye can't trick the trickerys eh? I must apologize fer my "low-profile" character. Just attemptin' to stir the pot a bit....again. I was hopin' to keep this one going fer quite some time. But, the beautiful Miss Rumba Rue whispered into yer ears that I might just be a local. My biggest concern is that the Grand Captain Sterling would quiz me on Somalian language where I would have been stumped. His original quote with the arabic writing made me sweat a bit! As fer as my leave of absence? I have been around drudging in the shadows and trolling off of the coast. The wee lass hasn't slowed me a bit and just turned one natal tide last month. The Blue Mermaid is also doing fine. She wants to give ye all greetings and promises to visit the pub now and then. So, I have missed ye all very dearly. I see many familiar names have faded from the pub but I also see a few names dear to me heart poppin' up. Aye Captain Sterling. A true Gentleman Sire. Defending a man who has been missing for quite some time. Greetings Mr. MadL. I be yer humble pyrate Captain Blackfoot. Apologies to you sire. Here be my coin purse. A round fer the pub and a bottle fer Mr. Mad L there. By the way, you wouldn't be related to a dear old friend of mine who once frequented this establihment known as "Mad Matt" would ye? Probably not. Ah, the beautiful and talented Miss. Ransom. No offense taken here m' lady. If ye remember, I am the one who had killed the infamous Pyrate Hunter Colonel Walker. Yes Sire Mr. Bbcddutchman. Now that name is sure a mouthful of letters! Tis' like chowing down on a big bowl of alphabet soup! Anyhow, I had to do a bit of research before I started with this Mr. Mohamed. In all reality, I have no respect fer these people and despise the authorites for even calling them "pirates." The reality is they are street thugs borrowing a wee size motor boat. I get no intimidation from these people. I would be right along side Captain Sterling on a good morning "sporting venture" target practice. Ah, my lovely little Lady B. Fond memories of this Lass. My Pub Beach Party memories makes me heart go thumpedy thump! Horatio Hornblower? Hmm? Now this is an idea? Anyway, I am back to all! So good to see the "old school" names of Captain Sterling, Lady B, Miss Rumba Rue, Merrydeath, Miss Silkie Smooth, and Miss Ransom on these posts. I am glad to be back!
  20. Oh Yes Miss Merrydeath! Ye must me a very special lady to ressurect me ol' bones to come back from the dead and wish ye a very Happy Birthday! Tis' seems like yesterday we wished ye a happy birthday. Time sure flys! Happy Birthday M'Lady....I humbly bow before ye in adoration.
  21. As for me, I saw only two "pirates" in the show. The first guy "John" who was immediately voted off (although he was a bit "too pretty" and looked like a cover model for those romance books). The second, who I am rooting for is "Louie" the fishing dock operator. I had no clue what these people were thinking when they voted for that one guy to be "Captain". In all reality, John got his black team to win.
  22. I just got my new Winter Edition 2006-07 Pyrates Way Magazine and it appears the infamous editor "The Black Fox" Steve Kimball has graced his magazine under the "Wenches of Winter 2006-2007" with one of our own pyracy pub members Captain Emerald Shaunnesy who is listed under the name of "Kittye." Good job Emerald! Good choice Steve. By the way, loved the mag and looking forward to the next issue.
  23. If I can only talk to these idiots before they kill. My advice to them..."go somewhere where there is no people, take a deep breath, and just kill yourself. If you get scared on doing yourself in, give me the gun and I would do it for you as I laugh when you drop to the ground." Why is it that these cowards wish to take people with them when they go on these rampages. I will never understand...
  24. Nasty! Did the clip have to start off with that crazy old man stealing that dead girl and turning her into a sex doll / companion ? I think even the infamous Ol' Edward Low would have been heaving his guts out over the side if he knew about this.
