  1. You can always rent a small 11' Snark/Sunfish for a couple of days and see how you like it first. There are easy to learn on (1Mast sail). I used to have a 16' Hobie cat that was cool and easy to operate. It has a Jib sail on it too, very cool to use the trapeze system.
  2. Gonna start production on Pyrates' II (live by the code). It will be more of a rocker and not an Island vibe.
  3. Aye mate. I gots me one 'o those and dey good fer practicing with a set of good cans but I must be warning ye, they can produce alot 'o irritatin' digital noize. I've tried mine with and w/o a power supply and 4 AA's works de best jest make sure dey are fresh. I've recorded with mine and get some decent tones however don't git to too close to de monitor or other analog devices cause it can pick up 60 cycle hums and digital fragments especially with da mid frequency presets.
  4. I believe everyone has given you good advice on the theme parks here. We went this past weekend and it was so cold and windy it felt more like Chicago than Orlando. Magic Kingdom is a must. The atmosphere there alone is worth every cent. We hit POTC first thing, great ride, cool vibe, and fun for the kids. I tried taking video with the digital camera but they didn't come out well. Swiss Family treehouse is cool. Not anything to do but fun to walk up and around on. Thunder Mountain-Awesome roller coaster...ride it!!! I went on Space Mountain last time it's great also. Splash Mountain-Excellent. Was cold as hell afterwards being all wet and with how windy it was but fun fun fun. Haunted Mansion is OK...great fx. Had to warm up some in there hehe! Hall of Presidents was educational and they look realistic. G.W. Bush spoke and didn't mis-pronounce anything. Buzz Lightyear closed-Bummer! Did alot of other stuff too some good, some ok, but the whole experience of Disney's Magic Kingdom is still #1 of all the parks IMO. Did Animal Kingdom all day Sunday, but was quite disappointed. Just seemed like a really big Zoo although it had tons of educational stuff and lots of info on animals. The Safari ride is worth the time if you have a park hopper and the River Rapids ride looked really fun, I gotta try it next time. But Dinoland for the kids wasn't at all what I expected, you actually had to PAY to play games in a Disney park you already paid to get into. Can't see it!!! The rides were free but I'm not paying to play after I've already dished out $$$ to get in...sorry!! The main rides like the Rollercoaster, Safari, and Rapids are nice but if you only have limited time spend it at Epcot instead or if you have park hopper get a fast pass for the AK rides and do them. I only had 2 days to do the Disney thing, it takes at least 5 or 6 to get in everything you might want to do. Next time it's Epcot for sure and MGM. Downtown Disney looks like alot of fun--shows, clubs, concerts. I gotta go back when I have more time.

  9. I only live 3 hours away. Haven't been there since '91, but we are Disney-bound this weekend. Three days of park-hoppin', thrill-ridin', fast-passin', exhausted til I can't stand fun. I'll let you know the results and what's worth seeing.
  10. “Alcohol may be man's worst enemy, but the bible says love your enemy.” - Frank Sinatra “Alcohol is the anesthesia by which we endure the operation of life.” - George Bernard Shaw “The intermediate stage between socialism and capitalism is alcoholism” - Norman Brenner You can't be a Real Country unless you have a BEER and an airline -- it helps if you have some kind of a football team, or some nuclear weapons, but at the very least you need a BEER. - Frank Zappa "Alcohol may be the road to nowhere, but at least its the scenic route." :)
  11. HA! I wuz a-thinkin' 'o sumin' else when I saw tis' title. But I won't go th'er. I know, sux doesn't it? Ye spend all that time puttin it up then ya 'ave ta tear it all apart. Maybe a virtual light projected tree is what we need. Turn on the lamp for 31 days then turn it off...case closed.
  12. Ok these flippin' lyrics just never made sense but the song has a great guitar groove. I was listening to this today and nobody would probably ever guess it so I added part of the chorus, should be easy now. Tidify da, sinmah gough dah hep haing ding fum gogamamo. 17. BROKE! All these stupid upsets in the bowl games are draining me wallet. Ok I made some bad picks but I'll make up for it during NCAA basketball tourney...I hope.
  18. For me, I never got into either that much. The fantasy aspect of it is fun and exciting but the authenticity and history has always been quite interesting. Not so much re-enactments but the mystery of it that captivates to need to want to know "What's it like." My admiration for the Sea and sailing with the mist on your skin and the wind in your sails is one thing that really got me into the whole Pirate thing. I grew up around the water and always been near it all my life. So the Ocean is one factor. Even though being on a huge wooden ship in GAoP didn't offer ideal living conditions. Which probably reeked with the stench of bilge water and rotten meat and crew members suffered from illnesses brought on my wet conditions. Hey, but they were out there living it up, survy and all! Rum all 'round!! The other enthralling aspect is the hatred for authority (pirates' common bond). No one likes to be told what to do...well for the most part anyway. Although they lived by written articles (the code) they had alot to be sour about since most of them were mis-treated on the merchant ships they fleed from to become Pirates'. Ya know being keel-hauled or going through a gauntlet ordered by a merchant officer can really ruin a man's day. So yes, in the the words of John Cougar..."I fight authority", they may win, but I'm going down with dignity. Also, they highly upheld democracy. In a pirate society everyone got their fair share of stolen loot. Well the Capt. got more, but that's like a finder's fee or my broker wanting his 15% off the top. However, everyone pretty much had a say so, shared equally, and had a certain sense of fairness among fellow pirates.
  19. Yes, this question I ask also...When? ...or is this available now? I'm still kinda new.
  20. Whenever a new technology emerges with the potential to change the way people live and work, it brings up debate about its impact on our societies and concern over how widely it should be adopted. Some people will view it with optimism while others see it as being troublesome. I believe it's good for our country's economic growth in offering greater flexibility and power in the way people do business. It has already revolutionized the way we live and work. Some see this as economic and cultural exploitation that will change the fundamental aspects of business and society. One issue that should be addressed is keeping the Internet secure--protecting our children. Children have the opportunity to indulge in their curiosity and explore the world. But while it helps them to learn about dinosaurs or world history, it can also expose them to obscene, violent or inappropriate content. Oh, and don't forget, Al Gore invented it!
  21. I resolved years ago to never make resolutions anymore because I never see them through after about the first 2 weeks.
