  1. I've got to find out if any of my crew will go with me and what they want to do, but for arguement's sake how do I get a spot in the fort?
  2. I'm plannin my first trip to PiP and I was wonderin the best places to stay and such. Any advice would be appreciated
  3. Lol well the ticket to doing what you want to the house is not having a spouse
  4. So for reasons I don't feel like explaining, I have two pair of Caboots tan Pirates II Jack Sparrow boots (A). I don't know what the A is for, but it's on the description. They're a size 10.5, but they fit me and I usually wear an 11.5. The pair I'm selling has never been worn, in fact they haven't even been out of the box. I've worn the other pair (not for sale) and they are some of the most comfortable boots ever, imho. So if you want a pair of great boots, make me an offer!! Sorry I don't have pics, but if you look on Caboots.com you'll see what they look like.
  5. I was amazed at how quickly I could get ahold of them on the phone, most companies you have to wait forever but Caboots picks up right away, with almost no wait.
  6. Lol the job be all yours BlackJohn. I just didn't want to bring up one of the most beat to death conversations in the pub
  7. I already have a bar in my basement, but it's not piratical enough for me. Everyone else seems to be impressed, but a few bits of swag and some seashells aren't nearly enough for me. I'm thinkin bout rebuilding the bar and laminating some jewels, piece's o' eight and various other baubles to the top, and I have a couple other ideas in progress. Anyone have any suggestions? Also, I'm tryin to think of how to make a piratical beer pong table Any bits of inspiration will be most appreciated!
  8. Well I ordered my pirate boots from Caboots... and if anyone starts with the whole "pirates didn't wear boots" thing I swear I'm gonna keelhaul you... and for the most part I couldn't be happier with the service. I ordered an 11 1/2, which is what I generally wear, but when I got them they were too big. They sent the right size, it's just that they seem to run a size big, in my experience. So I sent them back to exchange them. This is the point where I usually handle things via email. In my experience, Caboots is HORRIBLE with email correspondance. So if you have questions or problems, just call them. There's barely any wait and they are exceptionally helpful. I think the person that helped me was named Larry, but he seemed genuinely concerned about getting me my order in time. So I did get a 10 1/2 in time for Halloween, and the Jack Sparrow boots I ordered are the most comfortable pair of boots that I've ever worn. So I give em a 9 out of 10, the only thing I wasn't pleased with was the email service. I would definately order from them again, and recommend them to anyone
  9. I'm trying to find some jewelry to go with my pirate clothes, and as much as I'd like to get it the old fashioned way- commandeering it- the court system disagrees. The problem is I have big hands and I need rings that are about a size 14... anyone got any ideas where I can get some?
  10. What about different waterproofing methods that give it an old look. I've read about people using wax, shellac and all kinds of stuff
  11. I've been searching for details on the best way to give a hat an aged look (like Cap'n Jacks) but I can only find bits and pieces of information. What's best to use on it? And how? Thanks for the help!
  12. The hell with dating. I'd rather stare down the barrel of a cannon
  13. Where's the best place to get a good baldric? I can't find anything decent, only cheap things that wouldn't stand up to life at sea!!
  14. What be the best way to steam me tricorn? I'd be supposin many a sea dog in this forum has dunnit
