  5. NGA (national geospatial intelligence agency) keep a database of pirate attacks againt US ships. Tho they technically call it "anti shipping acitivty" http://pollux.nss.nima.mil/asam/asam_j_que...ASAM%20Database Hmm "the golden age of anti-shipping activity" just doesn't sound right.
  6. The strangest thing ive ever seen at ren fair was me and my friends sword fighting in a dumpster. Also my friend steve wielding a large very sharp double bladed axe. We were throwing various things at him and he was slicing them out of the air. Someone threw his leather jacket at him and before he realized what it was he sliced a nice cut thru his own jacket.
  7. drinking icet, half watching "the transporter" , and hanging out in a very quiet mapping/imagery chatroom

  10. Yes its "It conquered the world" !! One of my favorite bad movies. I just saw the even cheaper(!) 1965 remake "Zontar the thing from venus" and it stunk. Zontar is a great name tho.
  11. Ok my go, it helps if you watched alot of MST3K (which reminds me, I gotta jump in on the bad movie thread, im something of a conniseur). "He learned almost too late that man is a feeling creature... and because of it, the greatest in the universe. He learned too late for himself that men have to find their own way, to make their own mistakes. There can't be any gift of perfection from outside ourselves. And when men seek such perfection... they find only death... fire... loss... disillusionment... the end of everything that's gone forward. Men have always sought an end to the toil and misery, but it can't be given, it has to be achieved. There is hope, but it has to come from inside, from Man himself. "
  12. Careful, I once badly cut myself using occam's razor.
  13. Even more obscure, clutch bits. The hourglass looking ones. I suspect they're what keep wormholes closed.
