  1. Not’ that it would help you now, but as a kid I had the Fighting Furies pirate dolls and ship. They where about 8” talland the ship was a carrying case/ play set. It was bigger then dollhouse scale but fun. Here’s a link about them: Fighting Furies Info
  2. I thought in DMC they said Jones cut out his own heart because of the pain he felt from being betrayed by his love. He's never stopped loving her, that’s why he didn’t want the chest on his ship.
  3. Saw it today and thought it was great! I would have liked to see a huge ship battle though. Keep the two in the whirlpool and have the brethren and E. I. T. co. going at it around them. But great movie!
  4. I forgot all about that song. I saw them once in the 80's, but they had Cozy Powell drumming.
  5. Thanks mates, My wife's uncle lives in Key West and said the same thing about the Rum Barrel. Unfortunately, we’ll have the shortest time in KW so there are some things we wont be able to do. The mother-in-law said the aquarium is pretty cool, so I think we’ll be going there. Keep the ideas coming, Gryffin
  6. Helllo all, I’ll be going on my first cruise this summer. My wife is finishing her MBA and my mother-in-law and her husband planned the trip for us, they’ll also be going as well as our kids (12 and 8). I’m looking for things to do and places to see while we are in port. We’ll be sailing on Royal Caribbean and our stops will be Nassau, Cococay, and Key West. I’m already planning on going to the Pirate Soul Museum and the Rum Barrel in Key West. If anyone has some points of interest they’d like to share I’d be very thankful. Thanks for you time and info, Gryffin
  7. How about laminating a treasure map in the top or islands from the Pirates of the Spanish Main game. That way you can drink and play right there.
  8. I first heard of them last year. Then me and my son went to see them in concert last spring, his second concert, first was Trans-Siberian Orchestra last winter. I always keep one or two of thier CDs in my player at all times. Great music.
  9. Thanks. The boat and one mast is from the rain gutter regatta kit. The water, and various decks are from the pinewood derby kit and the rest is popsicle stick, bambo skewer and a dowel rod. Oh and a wooden bobbin.
  10. Ok here is my car or my son's or... I built it and he decided he wanted to race it. It won most unique design, which is what I was going for and 2nd place in the Webelos II division. I had to cut the masts down so it would fit under the finish line but I'm happy with it. son's car 2006 And my daughter's car won best looking. She picked out the colors and decals. I think she also came in 3rd in the siblings race. daughter's car 2006
  11. Red-Handed Jill you got it. Addams Family Values Another good line from that one is: Debbie: [meeting Gomez] Well, isn't he a lady killer! Gomez: Acquitted.
  12. Ladyhawke Try this: "I don't want to hurt anybody, I don't enjoy hurting anybody. I don't like guns, or bombs, or electric chairs, but sometimes people just wont listen, and so I have to use persuasion, and slides. " [showing slide pictures] "My parents, Sharon and Dave, Generous, doting, or were they? All I ever wanted was a Ballerina Barbie in her pretty pink tutu. My Birthday, I was 10, and do you know what they got me, MALIBU Barbie, that's not what I wanted, that's not who I was, I was a *Ballerina*, graceful, delicate, THEY had to go!" [the next slide shot shows a burning house]
  13. Bess, What's it like to sit back and listen to everyone's speculations on what is going to happen in the 3rd film? Do you read all this and say "That one is getting close" or "wow that is so far off the map he should be falling over the edge of the world"? I was just curious.
  14. They don't do pirate shantie's but check out Great Big Sea. Great Big Sea
  15. Here’s mine: When I was a lad, about 10 or 11, I was lying in bed just about to fall off to sleep. You know that point where your in-between awake and sleep? Well, it was summer time so I had on a short sleeved shirt and the covers where around my waist. All of a sudden I felt a hand on my arm and it shocked me awake. It didn’t feel cold but more like a shock and I could feel where each finger was. I pulled up my covers to my neck and eventually fell asleep. That was almost 30 years ago it’s just recently that I’ve been able to leave my shoulders uncovered when I’m going to bed. I also feel that when you think you saw someone out of the corner of your eye and when you turn to look and no one is there, that that could have been a ghost. You might try to play it off as a trick of light or shadow but I think that could have been a glimpse of the other side. Just a story and a thought.
