  1. Help....I'm looking for Billy Bones from the Shipwreck Ball (and his rum). Does anyone know how to find this bloody pirate???? Flmermaid
  2. The crew of the Pirates of Ponce Inllet, Disappearing Island are about to set sail and will be there in time for the Buxom Wench Bad Ass Pirate contest tomorrow night. There are 6 adullt pirates and 3 bilge rats. Same question as in St. Augustine....Are weapons ok on the streets? We have our hands drums ready and are ready to play (in all forms of the word). We are anxious to see old friends and meet new ones.
  3. Ahhh yes, that be me, I met the green fairy in New Orleans when sharing it with some of the pirates from POC 1. Green Fairy???? From Paris????? We MUST compare New Orleans to Paris. Lets compare at PiP.
  4. I agree, St Augustine Pirate gathering was awesome. Great job by all those who did the organizing. Mia was fantastic as well as all others involved. As newbies we felt welcomed and enjoyed all three days. Although I was glad to be back at a warm and toasty B&B after the Buccaneer Bash Sat. I'm a cold weather wimp. Rusty Cutlass was great, the food at the bash was great and I especially liked the repeated kisses on the hand and terms of endearment offered by the bartender when refilling my grog Sat. night. Pirate Court was a hysterical. Can't wait till next year. See everyone at PIP in a couple of weeks. FLmermaid
  5. The parade question was ment for St. Augustine.
  6. If we want to join in the parade is there anything special that we need to do? We just have a banner and a wagon for the smaller "bilge rats" to ride in, no fancy floats or decorated cars, just something for the kids to carry and ride in and throw candy and goodies. No set up what so ever. Thanks again for the help.
  7. perfect....thanks, looking forward to seeing everyone this weekend.
  8. Another question about St. Augustine, are we allowed to have weapons? Capt. Stingray has a replica pistol however, I have a sword. I will have a safety ribbon in place of course but I was wondering if it will be allowed on the streets of St. Augustine during the parade, on Fri. night or at the park?
  9. Thanks for the info. we will send in the form and join the group at 9am. Hurricane, it wil be nice to finallly meet you and your crew. We are the Daytona pirates who ahve been trying to meet with your crew. Will you be there Fri. night at the mill?
  10. A question about participating in the parade. After extensive efforts to "add to our crew" aka pressing...... there are now 16 that will be attending and wanting to join in the parade. Does anyone know who to contact or where the parade begins? What time we should have our crewe gather and where. The Capt. and I will be there Fri. evening but the others won't sail in until early sat. AM. Thanks, FLmermaid
  11. Ahoy, Although my captain (Stingray) and I have been sailing single-handedly for about a year we have finally managed to gather together a group of like minded misfits and call ourselves a crewe. We are now known as the Pirates of Disappearing Island and hail from Ponce Inlet Florida. Stingray and I have attended Pirates in Paradise as well as Pyrate Con and plan on returning to both with a larger and wilder bunch of bilge rats. We look forward to some rum sipping and good times with others that consider themselves the scurge of the sea. fair winds and happy plundering to all.
  12. We are a newly formed pirate crew from Daytona Beach. We call ourselves Pirates of Disapearing Island. Stingray and I have attended Pirates in Paradise last year with our crew of misfits as well as Pyrate Con. This year our entire crew will be in St. Augustine and most of us will be at Pirates in Paradise. We're looking forward to seeing everyone. We were going to sail the Hannah B up but because of time constraints (work) we have to us more conventional means. We will be bringing our hand drums and hope to get a drum circle going as well. Happy Sailing Flmermaid
  13. Hurricane, I'm liking the idea of the campground more and more. Honestly, last year was our first year at PIP and because we were staying at Boyds in an RV we thought the campground was very cool but I almost felt like we were intruding on the privacy of the campers out there if we were to walk around. We weren't really aware that it part of the experience. You're right, a group drum circle would draw people over and then they could explore the campsites once we got them in. I'll talk to the group tonight at our circle.
  14. Thanks, You're right, it is fun. I just explained what I wanted to do to my belly dance instructor last night and she said that it would be great. It really is fun when everyone blends together to either play along or dance. The energy is awesome. We'll make it work no matter where we are. Thanks again for the encouragement. Hope you will join in.
