  1. If you liked bridget jone's diary you should read the ORIGINAL, Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, I was not too happy with Bridget Jones as Elizabeth Bennette ! She would never have acted so weak in the ways that Bridget Jones does. Rant over ! On to what I am reading.... Speaks the Nightbird by Robert McCammon It is about a witch trial in 1699 Carolina. I am just to chapter 12 out of 28. It is very good so far and seems to be very historically correct. I will tell anyone who is interested how it goes
  2. That is rather odd as I do not see anything listed on it that isn't on the first set except the Johnny Depp commentary ! and on the first set there are 20 extra scenes not 19! Perhaps they are trying to keep interest up in the public eye since it looks like it may be a bit of a long stretch until we get 2 and 3 ? Pondering the pond,
  3. I admire your sewing velvet. I have a devil of a time with it, even with a walking foot. I seem to be having a hard time with all my projects lately. Perhaps my need which i thought was sterling is really only siver plate after all But your things are lovely :}
  4. that is a wonderful picture.. where is this crystal cave you have found ? Is there any treasure to be had there ??? have a hot chocolate on my purse if you will ,
  5. Attacked your hat ?? Ohhow dare he ? He was quiet a lucky upstart that it was such a relaxed and fine pirate as your self he was belittling the hat of. In some pirates eyes you should as soon mess with your own heart beat as to attack a man's hat! Here is a free round and a kiss on the cheek for your patience and knowing when an impertinent ship jumper is not worth the effort of sharpening your tounge on !
  6. Goodness Lad, there are ladies present ! No need to shout or use such phrases as whore here, we all know the dresses you are speaking of and they are not all so bad. You have a right to your thoughts but please no need to name call clothing style or otherwise.
  7. I am sorry you missed the Dangerous Liasions exhibit as well! And for such a horrid reason. Perhaps it will come back ? I have been trying to find the fabric that they used in POTC for Elizabeth's peach dress. Does anyone know where it may be purchased ? I have looked everywhere! I even emailed Cosprop, who made most of the clothes for POTC but they must be terribley busy as I received no reply as of yet. Have you ever tried Fabric.com ? Oh and I saw JP Ryan has a new Robe le' Angelaise... yay! Are there any good tutorials out there on how to use a book to draft a pattern ? I thought of trying to use my copier but that could waste a bit too many trees for my liking! Thanks in advance for all your advice!
  8. Hello Bess, May i also put in a request for more Anna Maria? I liked her prodigiously and would love to see more of her. This round is on me,
  9. Ahh, then the pan asian resteraunt I have heard tale of must be going to bein the condo block. I knew the owner had died but always thought there was hope that it would stay the same :{ Seems to be a pattern in these parts of putting up ugly condos! I live in a 1907 house in West Seattle and we own the 1/4 acre next to us. We have had several development projects try to buy us out and I refuse. Hurricane, You must live in these parts, perhaps we should try for a tankard on Alki at some time respect,
  10. Indeed they are! I love to see them going over the west seattle freeway in their 'motor boat'! One of the scallywags happens to live down the street and his land boat has the license plate moniker "pirate"
  11. Oh my, Tigger and what? I have not forgotten for I never knew. Please enlighten me, this sounds like a good dark comedy plot idea..... Wondering dangerously,
  12. Hello, sadly, if I recall correctly, one of Barbossa's main crew lost a battle of his own and left this mortal coil by his own hand.... am I wrong? Grappel wasn't it? So sad, and I liked him in that and other parts!
  13. Ahh as I traveling lady i do have a SAG card... *Lady M starts polishing up her card and looking for her union #*
  14. Oh dear and here I am in my machine stitched gowns. Wait no I am good, the first sewing machine patent was granted in 1755... whew
