1697, Nov – Depart Copenhagen for Africa on board a Danish West India-Guinea Company ship

1698 – Arrive at Fort Christansborg in Osu, Guinea, Africa from Copenhagen

1698-1703, August 31^st – Work for John Trawne, Opperhoved (Station Chief) at Fort Christansborg as an assistant

1703, September 11^th to 23 April 1704 - Work for Hartvig Meyer, Opperhoved as an assistant

1704, June – Depart Osu for Tranquebar, India on the merchant ship Fredericus Quartus (Fredericus IV)

1704 – Arrive Tranquebar ("where the waves sing")

1709 – Marry local Tamil woman…T. N. Manjai

1704-1711 – Work at Fort Dansborg in the offices of Governor Johan Sigismund Hassius (based upon recommendation of John Trawne)

1711 – Kills wife and her lover (captured soon after)

1711 – Convicted and sentenced to prison. To be returned to Copenhagen to serve sentence

1711- Depart to Copenhagen on the barge Prinz Christian (as a prisoner)

1712 – Depart Copenhagen to the island of St Thomas in the Danish West Indies (as a convict to work on sugar plantation)

1712 – Arrive at Port Charlotte Amalie on the island of St Thomas

1712-1718 – Work for Thomas Hall on his sugar plantation. Hall has a gambling problem and looses plantation to pay off debts.

1718, March 25^th – Arrive at Estate Carolina in Coral Bay on the island of St John to work on a new plantation financed by the new owners of the St Thomas plantation.

1718 – Escape from sugar plantation and change name to Larsson

1719 – Join Mercury crew
