I prefer just a pen with black ink which I photograph, remove the background and then stick the parchment background on it. On the other hand I just draw straight into a plain book on the rolling deck of a captured Spanish galleon and then hide the book for a few centuries until it looks right.

I've got me a new island to map and more clues to where I hide my treasure.

Doesn't look like the blighter could pull on a rope too hard. I'd give him a bit of a wider shoulder and let his elbows grow down towards the top of his hip bones. Aaargh!
