Non-computer types. I'd like to get some for our students here at school and need some reviews as to spend the doubloons wisely. I saw Bilgemunky had some descriptions of the various games that are coming out. BUT, what pirate "board games" that are currently on the market, do you have that you enjoy? With your kids . . . drinking buddies . . . Rennfaire mates . . . crew . . . Any links, pics and/or prices would be greatly appreciated. TIA

Ahoy Iron Bess, I'd be beholdin' to ye if you could answer a question for me regarding POTC...perhaps it be a weird question. **Turns off the pirate speak for a moment** It seems that Disney releases a loads of official merchandise for their family friendly movies and such. But something dawned on me when I took my wee lass of a niece to the mall last week. We popped into the Disney store and it hit me...I don't remember seeing any official merchandise in stores at all, and come to think about it, none on Ebay either. However, there are TONS of what I am sure are illegal pirated items there as we speak...clocks, t-shirts, calendars, computer printed "photos" that a…

where do I go with this idea? I have a fabulous idea for a character called The Black Rose. She's a legendary piratess with unparaleled sword skills, a glint in her eyes that makes a sound of crossed swords when she senses danger, and fabulous special effects would surround her. She'd disappear in black smoke, and would end up being Jack's true love. Doesn't sound like much, but when all is said and done, breathtaking moves and effects would be part of her character. She would be a supernatural being who'd help Jack out of insurmountable odds. Oh, and she's have a wonderful black velvet wardrobe and a slinky sinewy way of moving. Jack wouldn't be able to resist her,…

I've just begun preproduction on a feature film about pirates. Since you guys are the core audience, I was just curious as to what you would like to see. I have plenty of ideas myself, as I am a huge pirate movie fan, but wanted to give you guys a chance to chime in before I start shooting. Thanks, Leigh Scottjava script:emoticon(' ')

I knew we would see a run of pirate related movies in the wake of POTC2. Was I surprised to find this little gem. Pirates is a movie made by some person who goes by the name "Joone" and is listed as a photographer and film maker. Most of the featured women of the movie have the look of the adult industry about them. I found the movie kinda funny and the effects weren't bad. If you have a bunch of adult friends in port and want something fun to go with the rum and aren't looking for "art"this movie might do the trick.

If any of you locals would like to have Ted and Terry sign a copy of the DMC DVD on Tuesday the 5th of December, they will be doing so here on the Studio lot for a few hours that day. Now I can gate a few people to come aboard, not a whole hoard so first come first served as they say. If your interested let me know although... you should be aweare the the cost of the DVD will be a little higher then if you bought the thing at Target. Most likey sticker price so the autographs will come at a slight cost I would venture to say. Up to you what it's worth to you but I thought I'd put out the offer for those that might want to indulge. Offer stands open to all u…

PIRATE ADVENTURE DINNER - Opening Night Show - Buena Park, California A gypsy and a princess of a kingdom are captured and held for ransom aboard an evil pirate captain's ship. This captain has a nemesis that appears throughout the show. There are six main pirates. They have different stunt battles during the evening to win the reward of 1st mate. The Pirate Captain has an equally nasty (but well voiced) wife. There is a dancing prancing pirate who is the emcee of the evening. And the apparent comedy relief. The show uses a good deal of audience interaction and participation...with adults and kids. Towards the end of the show one of the pirates falls in love with the …

On the side of the box is the story about Davy Jones and Tia Dalma. A pirate friend recieved hers, and she pre-ordered the dvd the day before the movie was in the stores. A special POTC case with a story, well I guess for me that is worth fighting for. I know I am going to be hitting the rum early this year. My nerves are shot just from Circuit City! LOL

I got a sneak viewing of the movie last night. It was good. better then 2 and 3. It drug on a little long and they butchered Blackbeard...Ian McShane did fine but they should have stayed away from the historical pirate...Even the flag was wrong. All in all the movie was fun. Go see it. Have a blast. IMHO the first 20 mins in London were the best. I for one am already looking for a Mermaid to call my own!

What is everyone watching this time of year (other than PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN)? I know that once the leaves start changing color here in Tennessee, I jet to the local video store and spend mega bucks to try to scare my socks right off! So far, my favorites have been...in no certain order: IT'S THE GREAT PUMPKIN, CHARLIE BROWN! (One of my childhood faves) THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW (Guilty pleasure) LEGEND (Another guilty pleasure, another Tim Curry flick) THE OTHERS THE SIXTH SENSE So, who else out there grabs those scary movies around this time of year? Halloween is the best season for spooky movies. I don't like most of those senseless blood and gore …

This came across the Seven Seas Forum courtesy of Lady Stingray and I thought I'd pass it on for discussion and debate....... Pirates of the Caribbean 3 (rumored subtitle: "Worlds End") - Like the Back to the Future and Matrix sequels, the second and third installments of the Pirates of the Caribbean saga have been shot back-to-back. Filming on part two, Dead Man's Chest, ended in June, and when production resumed in mid-August, the focus turned to this as-of-yet-untitled sequel with the same cast and crew, including stars Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom, and Keira Knightley, producer Jerry Bruckheimer, director Gore Verbinski, and writers Ted Elliot and Terry Rossio. Unlike …
