Some pirates have parrots for pets, Some monkeys, others frisky fer-rets! But as for me crew, Only an elephant will do . . . He's huge but he never forgets!

Wishing everyone a very MERRY CHRISTMAS and hoping that my friends have the best year ever in the coming year and my enemy gets what he truly deserves before the end of 2009! The Pirate Christmas Party Fifteen men ‘round the Christmas tree, Ho, ho, ho, and a bottle of rum! All were pirates including me. Ho, ho, ho, and a bottle of rum! The party was loud and runnin’ wild, Celebratin’ the birth of the dear Christ child, But this were no place for the meek or mild! There was meat and drink for all to spare, The table was laden with Christmas fare And red and green rigging for all to wear! Ho, ho, ho, and a bottle of rum! Fifteen men with presents for all, H…

Legend Of The Compass Rose: She was beautifully ornate, the kind that would make gentry salivate. All clamored for her attention, but to none did she give her affection. None, but one…none, but me… Robert James McGee. Being the master of the Scorpion, known as the seas greatest champion, Upon the Spanish Main, did indeed go against her father's grain! He is a man of cardinal direction, who believes in "sublime perfection." Thirty-two points he did give, on how "A God fearing man, should live!" However, in me he saw no such qualities, and despite her pleas… I was no longer welcome at his door, and was forbidden to see her…forevermore! So with broken heart in tow…

I. What you gave was nothing more than smoke and mirror While tears fill my eyes, the truth becomes clearer. Your words once tasted like honey wine Now have grown bitter and rancid over time. Trickery and lies, have you no shame? Trickery and lies, broken hearts are your game. II. Whispers, promises, and every single vow Means less than nothing to me now. A feeling warm, like a drink of rum Has left me cold and rather numb. Trickery and lies, have you no shame? Trickery and lies, broken hearts are your game. III. You flew me to heaven, only to fall straight to hell Now all that lies before you is an empty shell. I let you in so deep, to places of me so de…

An Ode to Rum Oh, nut-brown companion of humid tropic nights! Oh, intoxicating nectar of the fertile gods! In passion, you enhance all my earthly delights, In battle, you wildly bolster my martial odds. Born in the planters’ verdant sugarcane fields, Jack Tar has taken you to the ends of this world And I pray that you await me in the Kingdom to come! But with all the wonders that your enjoyment yields And all the garlands your faithful imbibers have hurled, …

I. He moves silent like the wind on a moon less night. Wine women and song taking freely that, is his delight. Eyes that mesmerize, dark as coal Gazing too deeply can steal one’s soul. Skin full of warmth and tan Liken to the tropics and Jamaican sand Women adore him, for his velvet smile. Men scorn him, for leaving them breathless mile upon mile. II. No one knows his name, For deception is his game. He plays them all like a pipe’s song Then just as quickly he sails on. He has broken many a heart, both young and old He is not one to have or to hold. For his one and only love is me The wide vast expanse of the sea. III. “Oh daughters of Poseidon, pear…

I. The gray bitter cold of morn Finds him in a leaf barren wood alone. Feeling numb, heart frozen, Is this the path he should have chosen? He trecks on, face full of frost Searching for that, which he has lost. Morning turns to evening And no hope of the ache ever leaving. Long is this journey of despair Which seems to be going no where. He trecks on, face full of frost Searching for that, which he has lost. II. Dark is the night to winter’s soul An unyeilding chill that won’t let go. Sitting by fire’s blaze, His mind drifts into mist, and haze. To that once warm, guilding light To those soft arms that held him tight Those lips filled with passion’s lo…

Maiden Of The Sea James McShane had but one aim; To find that, which ignites desire's flame. If only he knew her name… Maiden, maiden, of the sea Come to me, oh come to me. My heart is full of love for thee. Maiden, maiden, of the sea. So he set sail on the seven, Upon the month, and well past the hour of eleven. In search for "that gift from heaven!" Maiden, maiden, of the sea Come to me, oh come to me. My heart is full of love for thee. Maiden, maiden, of the sea. With his spyglass he did gaze; Through the mist and haze, He saw her tail slowly raise. Maiden, maiden, of the sea Come to me, oh come to me. My heart is full of love for thee. Maiden, ma…

THE PIRATE AND THE MERMAID The surf thundered as the longboat came ashore its hull grinding to a halt on the sandy beach. A lone man steps into the water. His eyes have a steely glint and his face is lined grim with determination. It is dark with thick fog rolling along the shore. Wind gusts whipped up the sand stinging his face as he walks. What was driving this Pirate? What is he searching for? Haunted by a song he had heard once while sailing in pristine green waters. Ever since that day it was all he could think of. His soul consumed with desire! Suddenly a ray of light from the heavens clears the dark fog showing him the way. He can see her sitting on …

Ahoy there me buckos! I've just started trying my hand at the seafaring life and started me own pirate band. We've called Captain Hellfire and The Wretched Brethren and we've just had our second gig on the 25th of January. I thought I'd share some of the lyrics I've written. This first set of lyrics be from a song about that most famous pirate, Black Barty, I play this by meself on the piano at the moment but we are looking to develop it as a track incorporating the whole band. Black Bartholomew Roberts (Seas of Chance) In darkness we all swing together Each man but skin and bone Packed inside this floating coffin We sail the seas as one I'm staring at the ceiling …

I wrote this song using our crews back story The Ballad of the Bone Island Buccaneers Across endless deserts of sea Sun scorched and cursed men, we be Forever our sails made We're bound to this rough trade We search to unravel the key Reese charted a map long ago To fortune and riches untold The church bound to hide it We swore we would find it and make Reese's treasure our own So dressed as a priest Jai did go Stole the map so we sailed for the pole But the Arch Angel followed and Sterling, he bellowed "Make way, or the locker you'll know" Bloody Spike Pierce ruled the day Through maelstroms, storm squall and spray to the earths frozen center we…

Some say, love gives you wings. I say, love allows you to soar without them. Some say, love takes your breath away. I say, love gives you a reason to breath. Some say, love will overcome all obstacles. I say, love is an irresistible force. Some say, love is all we need. I agree.

The Captain's Farewell by Willoughby Caught We bid farewell to our captain beloved he's gone aloft for his voyage is through and onward we sail better for his commanding Captain, my Captain, how we miss you I remember the day that I stood there before him to show him the skill I had learned by his side Oh, save me, oh God, I am in the deep water nothing is missed by the Captain's sharp eyes He had his ways for he was a sailor with a love of tall ships, and a love of the sea So patient with others what would be a sailor a friend to us all and a mentor to me He abides in love, and he's off a sailin' In waters so distant our captain now strays As we go on, we …

A "clerihew" is a whimsical, four-line biographical poem invented by Edmund Clerihew Bentley. A clerihew has the following properties: It is biographical and usually whimsical, showing the subject from an unusual point of view; it pokes fun at mostly famous people It has four lines of irregular length and metre (for comic effect) The rhyme structure is AABB; the subject matter and wording are often humorously contrived in order to achieve a rhyme, including the use of phrases in Latin, French and other non-English Languages The first line contains, and may consist solely of, the subject's name. Clerihews are not satirical or abusive, but they target famous individ…

The Horizon "When you look at the horizon, do you see the waves? Or do you see the sky?" All right, all right! I hear ye, mate! When yer sixty feet or more off the deck, High in the riggin' and a gale's a'blowin' and The ship be heeled over to a fine point and The cold has turned the horses to iron bars and The bos'un has ye dancin' a jig in the wind . . . There ye'll be starin' straight into the face of God! But, listen to what I have to say: When yer sittin above board after a fine mess, With a clean deck to yer backside and A fresh wind coolin' off the fo'c'sle sweat and Weather fittin' and proper for twelve knots and All the doggies and their masters a…

I. Here is another epic poem thanks to Siren (my big sis) This goes along with the Dark Prince of Plunder! Enjoy!! I. I have sailed the seven, searching for that small bit o’ heaven Since the age of three, nothing compares to she. I’ve watched her walk the moon kissed surf, And give silent praise to the one who gave her birth. As the waves did roll, into the water she did stroll With long raven hair covering just so, all that God gave her would just barely show. Then something caught me by surprise, when I saw her limbs and thighs Transform themselves into a sailor’s deepest wish that of a tail of the largest fish! Green as the color of the seas, the sight …

Children went to learn and play on the autumn day. A great wave of loss and despair was felt everywhere People came with love to share. Never forget, always remember. . . The eleventh of September. Devastation more than words can tell, as towers and sprits fell. Grief and pain was upon every face, Yet God’s hand rested on us full of mercy and of grace. Never forget, always remember. . . The eleventh of September. The weak were made strong, and righted that which was wrong. Giving their lives to save others, People we are proud to call “sister’s and brother’s.” Never forget, always remember. . . The eleventh of September. Inspired By: God & The One Year …

The Emerald Rich be the mines in the Realm of New Spain None richer than those of the Andes Of silver and gold, the riches are told And emeralds green, a sight to behold Riches to tempt a pirate so bold So listen, me hearties, as me tale unfolds Listen and I’ll spin it for you We set sale from Jamaica one fine summer day Riding the tide that flowed from the bay Fair were the skies, our spirits were high We knew to a man that plunder was nigh Fabulous riches piled to the sky So in our folly we set our hopes high Vowing to sack Cartagena Cartagena won’t fall to our little ship It would take a large fleet and an army But our ship it was fast so their ships w…

God Take the King! Ye ask me why I sail the seas beneath a flag stained black, And why I risk both life and limb and take the pirate tack? The answer is an easy one, a song I love to sing, After years of bloody taxes, I have come to hate the king! Chorus: Huzzah! Huzzah! It’s a new song I sing! Give me rum, freedom and buckets of gold and God Take the King! I bear the marks upon me back of scratches from his cat: Too many times I’ve come up short when ‘is Majesty passed the hat. At pike point he collects me pay before it can be spent On niceties like milk or shoes or even to pay the rent. Chorus My Maggie she died coughin’ after a winter without a…

this is more related to the ocean than anything piratical but here goes, this one is something i wrote a few years ago. The wind causes the dancing of flowers, the rhythm of waves The wind causes the toughness of the storm What causes the wind? What causes the summer breeze that tosses my tresses like the dark, curving currents of the ocean in the moonless night? The tribulations of Mother Earth? or the combined whines and pleas of the distressed human race who despair at the closed, bigoted minds of our peers, members of our tainted society. Is every complaint a waste of breath? Is every breath a waste of energy? Or is it the cause of the wind that stirs us?

Xavier Quinn He seems no higher than a grown man's shin And with malicious grin, he has great pride in… Tracking down those who pillage, plunder, and relish in sin! Chances are slim, you'd escape from him! East India Company's best man. Some say he's more like the devil's own right hand. The Isles of Caiman to the ports of Japan, He is known by every pirate and courtesan! A seemingly decent gent, who's speech is most eloquent . 'Tis hard to believe he is so hell bent, But one look, and it becomes quite evident. That he desires to rid the world of every malcontent! Known to bring down men twice his size, with the blaze of Hades in his eyes. When he does "deal" w…

Once ‘pon a time, a silly way to start. But how else to tell a tale from my heart? It be ‘bout love, ‘tween a man and a lass Whose body would tempt a priest giving mass This tale does not start with help from above To tell you the truth, it starts in a pub Sailor were drinkin’, as they’re want to do Others be eating Salmagundi Stew. Now sailors get loose-lipped, when they get drunk Talkin’ ‘bout ships that could use a good dunk And on this dark night a king learned o’ one It would set sail ‘pon the rise of the sun Why would a king be ‘round scoundrels like these? Well he was a pyrate, King of the Seas He was quite rugged, wore no silk or lace And he be know…
