My university has a fencing club, and I have not yet contacted them. I know only that there are two basic types, classical and tournament. I know dang near everything about FARM fencing, but nothing of weilding the steel. What should I look for and is this something that could help me when it comes time for stage combat? Hope ya'll don't mind me buggin ya here on yer crew forum, but i know you guys are serious when it comes to battle so I trust and value your advice on this matter. thanx... Bo

Great little event which has tons of potential. Marcus Hook is part of the Riverfront Ramble with things going on all along the river, rather like a giant street festival. The Devilmen and we were part of the new addition to the event, where Blackbeard's Crew and the Vigilant Crew(this being their third year I believe) were about 14 miles down river, we were in the town of Marcus Hook and we were very well received. The town was decked out with pirate banners etc..There was a lot going on from pony rides to tons of vendors, a stage set up with entertainment going on all day, a pirate feast, and more... More to come as well as more photos... Duke of Albany and York's …

Pirates of Paynetown By Jim Cummings I will be the first to admit that I was very wrong in my conception of ``Pirates of Paynetown" a re-enactment held at Lake Monroe in Bloomington, Indiana. What I thought was going to be a ``Pirates of the Caribbean Spoof" with a bunch of Johnny Depp look-alikes was not. I was dead wrong. The Pirates of Paynetown was put on by and held at Lake Monroe State Park. It was the second year for the event and our first time there. But it won't be the last. This State Park is one of Indiana's crown jewels. It has 14,000 acres and most of it is covered in water. If you haven't been there it is worth putting on your ``things to do list". …

You all know what you did and how we done it... From the running and planning a helluva camp and excellent meals, to the major success of an all scale battle, to the vigilance and teamwork conveyed during severe weather and unexpected circumstance.... Everyone of you and I mean EVERYONE really made this event such a pleasure to attend. What a great crew of riff-raff and cutthroats! I couldn't be more proud!
