I thought since the orginal topic about Chicago invasion was for the Chicago invasion, it might be better to bring up a possible invasion for Bristol. I had made a note to Morgan that I would grace my presence there when Morgan came home, as reason to have me and my first mate be able to say "Hey you! The one with the face!" and welcome our favorite Captain home. With the invasion of welcome home in April, it'll be a second home coming for him going to Bristol. I have always wanted to see Bristol since it's a home to my orginal home in Southern Califonria. Is anyone game to begin ideas about a possible invasion for Bristol? Yea, I know what your saying.."It's Frea…

Well, we shall know in a fortnight whether TLotSK gets to return to Ingleside, Texas' ren faire. Keep your fingers crossed and good thoughts flowing that the chairwoman finds a sponsor for us in that time - Else, we shan't be journeying south next month, more's the pity. ::much crossing of fingers:: Emerald

Another event I am considering, but less sure about for next year is this one... King Philip's War Event This would be a great event for those of you who are trying to put together gear for the 3rd quarter of the 17th century that would like to use it for militia portrayals as well. My main reservation about this event is that it falls very close to another event I went to last year that I hope to attend again this year. And that much traveling in that short of a period of time doesn't seem likely at this point. As a side note, I have talked to a few people about the possibility of portraying Captain Samuel Moseley's unit for this event. Samuel Moseley was a celebrate…

The Pyrates of the Coast will be taking up quarter at the Red Dog Saloon in Port Orchard on New Year's eve. For those in the greater Seattle-Tacoma area, head on over - we set up camp at 7 p.m. and will be taking over the place in our pirate gear. Throw in some beads, flashing breasts, and piratical antics and it's quite the time - we make our own party there. What else are you pirates and wenches doing to usher in the New Year? Any voyages afoot in other parts?

Hello all, Some of your brethren from the HMCA are going to be teaching at Paddy Crean this year. It is Dec. 31st to Jan. 6th. All those interested need to sign up for the workshop and pay the deposit by October 15th. Here is the info website: http://www.iosp.org/index.php/Paddy_Crean_..._Sword_Workshop This Paddy is not to be missed! But we need your help. In order for Paddy Crean to be able to be held at Banff, we must have a certain number of participants signed up before Oct. 15th. We are over halfway there, but still need many more. Every registration is important. You need not pay for the whole thing up front. You only have to come up with $130 to register. You …

Ok, if memory serves me correctly there was going to be a pirate chest auction (at the PIP?), with the proceeds going to charity. Various members were listing what was going to be put into the the recently departed brethren chest. But, I haven't seen anything up about it since the Pub came back online. so is it yes? no? postponed? am curious.

Ok, I'm going to be arriving late but better late than never. Here I've been kinda packing and burning a few "roadtrip" style CD's that will keep me awake for the 18 hour trek there but getting there is half the fun. Anyway I'll be leaving Sunday night and arriving Monday evening or Tuesday morning. I had to wait for a buddy of mine who wanted to go to return from Ohio so he's be rollin in Sunday night then we'll be leaving shortly thereafter. Oh well I just felt like rambling... *crawls back under rock*

I realise that most everyone is down in The Conch Republic at PIP, but anyone who would like to fill a casting call for a December 4th event in NYC should contact me ASAP. I will offer more info as I get it, but I wanted to know who might be available. They seem to want motivated interaction for press and media coverage and "reasonably historcally representative costuming". More to follow.
