Be there or be square. I know it conflicts with Maryland's opening weekend. One of these days PA will get it right. <hangs head in shame> Link to PA Faire Pirate Invasion Page

Ahoy, On August 13 and 14 pirates will invade the small town of Havre de Grace in the colony of Maryland. Unfortunately for the pirates, the local militia has been tipped off, which will result in a great deal of gunfire and swordplay. So, come cheer on the pirates!!!

It's some time in August at Balboa Park. I missed out on it last year cuz my work schedule was really crazy then. I don't want to miss it this year. Some friends and family went and said it was pretty good and a lot of fun! Anyone here planning on going?

It's the 28th and the 29th of this month. Anyone going? I've gone to it twice so far and most likely will go again. My sister's birthday is the 27th, so I usually buy her admission as a birthday gift to her.

Don't forget that the MRF features a pirate themed weekend on August 26th and 27th. You may see a handsome rogue in the promotional pictures that looks rather like my avatar. The parade could also use some playtron pirates if you are interested.

From Jaimaca Rose Barton..................... Greetings lads and lasses, Aron Plucinski of Monster House called me earlier today with more particulars about the Pirate Monster House. The "pirates harrassing the builders" segment will be filmed on this Wednesday, at 2:30 pm. Filming will probably take about 1 hour, so you might want to arrive a little early to have time to park and find the right house. Come in garb, and bring swords or other weapons to poke at the builders with and threaten them. Bring costumed friends if you can. Monster House wanted lots of pirates. No one has yet told me they are bringing a parrot. The Monster House people were hoping parrot…

Our crewe just returned from a trek to North Carolina for a pirate festival. On the way back, we stopped over at the Queen Anne's Revenge restaurant in Charleston. If you're traveling anywhere in the area - don't miss this place. There are plenty of artifacts to see, including an impressive scale model of the ship itself. The weapons on display were impressive, as were the loaned works of Pyle dotting the walls and the bar. Plus, the food was outstanding. We could have stayed there all day if the schedule had allowed. Link to their website. http://www.qarevenge.com/ Check the tour link out. It's pretty good. We have some photos of our visit too. Go past the ones of…

MOST LIKELY DATE : OCT 14 Ok lasses and gents lets see if we can get a group for a weekend or day at the PARF. http://www.parenfaire.com/ It seems that the pirate weekend unfortunately may not be the best with the unfortunate competitive scheduling so perhaps we could plan for another weekend to get a larger group. I don't know how everyones schedule is but the halloween daze weekends are also fun and the cooler weather is a nice addition. Here is a list of all of the themed weekends. 26 Year Love A-Faire (Aug. 12-13). Join the Shirefolk as we swing wide the Castle Gates to our glorious 26th season. Love & Romance (Aug. 19-20). I myself will be there with some members of the Press Gang. I delivered a few swords up there this past weekend. I saw a few faces I knew. It was hot and I think it will be just as hot next weekend so be sure to plan on going pirate lite. If you go be sure to stop by the pirates den and say hey or catch us as we roam. Also my swords are for sale at the pirate ship. Make sure you ask them to see the BKS cutlasses. Yarrr!
