What a great event! Lots of friendly familiar faces and a few new ones to boot! Nothing could have dampened the spirits of this event – even though a deluge on Friday may have hindered setting up camp, yet…we all continued to pray for better weather and come Sunday we had sun and warmer temps! Both Pirate and Pirate Hunter showed the crowds our best this past weekend. The crowds were good and even the one of the Event Coordinator for Downtown Hampton stopped by to give praises to our Pirate Hunter’s camp! A big thank you to Blackbeard’s crew, the Bone Island Buccaneers for coming so far to ‘play’ to Gentleman Scotty and his lovely wife Kate who stopped by the pirat…

I have seen random posts of those who live in or around the murky waters of Baltimore, and was curious... Is anyone planning on attending Opening Day of the Maryland Renaissance Festival? I have a large crew of ruffians that will be attending - partially to help commemorate me birthing day.... But, perhaps we can find a time/place to raise some hell and watch the Pyrates Royale and put a face to the name? Here - if interested, I propose meeting at the White Hart Tavern at 12:45, right before the first showing of the Pyrates Royale on Opening Day, August 28th. Any takers???????

My soon to be in-laws go to this every year and had asked that if anyone from the board is going to keep an eye out for them. They be Gary & Betty Hayward. Can't miss them. They're in their 70's and I'll post a pic if I can find one. But if you are going here is Betty's email. bhayward17@cox.net and you can drop her a line to meet and just say hello. Mention you know Lloyd from the pirate board and she'll make the connection.

So we're almost home and I couldn't wait to post about this event. So here I am, feet up on the dashboard, still in kitn toes poking through the holes in my stockings, posting on my pink Blackberry. Yeah, that's right. Mickey and I arrived in Havre De Grace at 4:30 Friday afternoon, a stark contrast to our usual 2 am show times. Also, we didn't get lost once or have to call anyone for directions! Black John showed up not long after and we stood around and talked a while before starting to set up camp under a lovely shade tree. Shortly, the Half Moon Maurauders showed up and pitched camp too. Lady Brower and I had been yapping on the phone and pm-ing back and forth for …

Attn all you East Coast Pyrates. We are coming up on the Tall Ship Race and it is only 4 months away. Here is some advice from the locals. Got a call from a friend just the other day. IF YOU PLAN ON GETTING INTO THE TOWN OF BEAUFORT GET A PARKING PASS or plan to take a cab. Front St. will be blocked for the festival and there will be no public parking on the water front. Also if you would like to look into getting tickets to park or tour the boats the link is... http://www.pepsiamericassail.com/index.html BUT BE WARNED...the VIP packages are $500 and up, ending at $2,500. On June 30th we will be on the beach of Fort Macon, all day, fishing and watching for the ships…

My friend sent me some information about this event going on at the Nauti Goose Saloon in North East, Maryland. It sounds pretty fun so I thought I'd pass this along to everyone. Here's what he wrote: I just remembered something I wanted to share with you last night. On Friday July 21st, 7:30pm at the Nauti Goose, they are having a “theme” dinner thingy called “Pirates of the Chesapeake”. It is $40 per person, which includes a special dinner (including shark, I believe) and drink specials. It is a costume event with a $200 cash prize for the winner! http://nautigoosesaloon.com/EVENTS.htm I'm probley going since it's extremely close to home (I hit that place pretty…

What was originally billed as a "meeting" in the wilds of Pennsylvania was actually more of a non-competitive firelock shoot, with a prize handed out to the best shot. I slapped together a couple pages of pics. Hopefully the file sizes aren't too tough to handle.

I'm tryin to organize a raid on the POTC2 movie in Iowa. Of course I want it here in my home port, but i was also wondering what I can hope for tie-in's for the movie. Will Burger King get the nod from Disney or will Mcdonald's swim with the fishes? The more tie-ins, the more chances we have of getting something cool! Let me know what to expect for our RAID. Merryd

I'm saving my nickles and dimes for shopping at the HBBF and I was wondering if anybody has a Sutler's Row line up? I did hear that Black Bear Historical Clothing is going to be there. I was wondering specifically if there are vendor's like Loyalist Arms there. Specifically anyone selling non-firing weapons lke Loyalist Arms. Thanks!
