For the past 5 years I have done a free kids game at the Minnesota Renniassance Festival. For the first time in a few years I have the weekend open for Port Washington Pirate Festival and I'd like to bring the game to share. I am having no luck contacting the organizers. The first fellow I dealt with stepped down from his role with the Port Washington Pirate Festival. The person he suggested I contact has not returned my emails (with photos of the kids game). Just wondered if any of you are "in the know" of who I should contact. Note: I am not asking for any money, just permission.

Ahoy mates, Set yer charts and keep the date open! The annual *Pirates for CHOC* Event is scheduled for Friday, June 5th in Anaheim! Come out and shop the Vendors, bid on items at the Auction from Disneyland, POTC writers Ted and Terry, Ahmet Zappa, Haunted Mansion memorabilia, Disney Pins, meet and get autographs from many actors from POTC and more. Much, much more! The event will have longer hours this year so there is little excuse to not find a bit of time throughout the day and night to come out and support this very important event. This year the Hospital visit will be in the AM so we will have even more time to raise money during these longer hours for the even…

I have been asked by the local Boy Scout Council to help with a Cub Scout day camp in Melbourne, Florida in June, 2009. The organizers are hoping to have a crew of pirates come in for an afternoon to teach the kids a bit about local pirates. Emphasis will be on fun, although they aren't averse to a bit of history thrown in. The specifics: Date--Friday, June 5th Time--12-4pm, with a request for a 30 minute "show" around noon. We can set up as early as 9am, if we wish. Place--Wickham Park (about 3 miles east of I-95 in Melbourne) They can't pay anything (hey, they're Cub Scouts), but I will be serving up tasty period rations to those who can help out. You can conta…

Okay, so after living in the Outer Banks for 12 years and working as Blackbeard the Pirate at Teach's hole in ocracoake for 8 I have had numerous people ask me when I was going to bring a pirate festival to Blackbeards Hometown. I have fought with Hyde County for years but it looks like I may be winning now. Just looking for some ideas and directioon from anyone who has started an event from scratch. we have two possible locations right now, one is a campground and the other is a small spot near the ferry docks with a decent sized spot that would hold a small encampment. The town is all behind me but I feel this may be more of a battle with the town hall folk since th…
