Mikey might I suggest another thread for just the necessary information... this is one is getting long to shift through... We obviously have the what, but do we have exactly the when, such as when can we truly arrive by, who we need to speak to when we get there, When do we have to be packed up and out of there? has parking been set in stone yet? If so exactly where (as in actual addresses and such for the mapquest folks) Will parking be free or is there cost? What exactly needs to be packed, approximately how much powder(roughly how many rounds to fire) Any idea of what the schedule will be? What you want demonstrated and by whom? I'm sure you don't want everyone …

The info hasn't been posted yet, but this year the event will again be held at the DEMAS salle Saturday and Sunday May 12 and 13. There is a chance it may be moved to the second salle location in Morgan Hill, but that will be posted as well. Afer much work by Claire and myself trying to find a "piratey" venue Davenrich (Digger) has happily stepped back in to help us out. We either got no replies to our enquiries, got turned down, or got hit up for ridiculous fees which would raise the cost of the workshop for the students, which we are definitely not about. There will be a special rate for 10 or more enrolling all at the same time, and the cut-off point will be 30 peopl…

I propose that on Sunday, 01 May, all available pirates spend the day at Mystic Seaport. If any of you have never been there, you're missing out. Hopefully by then, I'll be sporting the new sword I'm currently making at Mystic Seaport's shipsmith shop. This would be followed by moving to downtown Mystic to a great Irish pub, the Harp and the Hound. Every Sunday night they have sea shanties, and participation is strongly encouraged. I know the bartender fairly well (I'm turning in to a local there!) and could probably reserve a good table if there'd be enough of us. I'm going to look in to discounts for the costumed persons at Mystic, but would like an approximate nu…

Hi all, We have another little event to tell you all about and that you can keep an eye out for. The Sheppey Pirates - http://www.sheppeypirates.org - have been comissioned for a little caper to welcome Disney's entry into the Volvo Round the World Yacht Race, The Pirates of The Caribbean, into Portsmouth harbour, England. We're working alongside one of our brother UK pirate crews The Sea Wolfes - http://www.therealwolfpack.zoomshare.com - for this raid. We've been asked to fire our cannon to welcome the ship into the harbour, entertain 500 kids all morning and then put on a 20 minute show for the kids, the Mayor of Portsmouth and, hopefully, some actors from the forth…

Pirates giving money to a Spanish Galleon? It's a strange world we live in. The Columbus Santa Maria has been good to our pirate group and it is in a budget squeeze so we are doing a benefit to help the ship. All proceeds will be automatically donated to the ship. Note the starting bid is the minimum for Ebay charitable donations. See here for a list of items. It may be a couple of days before everything is listed so check back.

During the peaceful and TOTALLY INNOCENT boat parade to celebrate Conch Republic Independence day, the conch republic navy lead by the Schooner 'Wolf' we were once again attacked by the evil US Border patrol. I am pleased to let everyone know that we did not take this without fighting back! With stale cuban bread, tomatos and water hoses, and back up from the conch republic army onshore and the airforce overhead (400 rolls of toilet paper were thrown to their deaths in defence of our Island nation, bombs away!) we drove the Coast Guard cutter back to port with TP in their riggings. That evening the Coasties were brought to the Schooner Wharf in chains and gracefully s…

Anytime we set sail with the Royaliste, it is bound to be an adventure. But none of us forsaw the adventure that we had this weekend, as three centuries of war machines came together for a battle reenactment the likes of which may have never been seen before!! We sailed out from Sausalito and headed towards Angel Island, where we were to engage our adversaries, the canoneers of the Ft. Reynolds West Garrison. We passed the island at a distance, then looped back, closing in for the attack. The cannoneers were positioned high on the upper end of the parade ground, so the Royaliste's guns were raised and we fired a broadside as we came around the edge of the rocky coastli…

well...micah and myself went out to discover the history of jamestown by ourselves. the crowds were scarce, and the weather couldn't have been better! we took our time and allowed a whole day at jamestown. their museum is wonderful. this included a 15 minute film on the history. we found the artifacts very exciting...lots of weapons fron the 1600's. con: not allowed to take photos of all the beautiful rapiers : ( we headed outside to the ships (replicas) where we saw the susan constant, the discovery, and the godspeed. the constant was the largest ship (100 tons) that brought over the first colonists, and there was talk of pirates, seeing how she was a merchant ship. yo…

I have a show to do for a church group on the 22 in Morehead NC and then we are having dinner at the Sanitary Fish Market. If anyone is in the area and wants to come in that evening in garb to hang out feel free. I can't buy your meal or drinks since I'm a youth chapperone this time but I will be in full Blackbeard attire.

Just curious if anyone else is planning to attend Bath Fest on May 14. I could use some volunteers to help with my stage show by being hecklers. I also need one person who can read my arrest papers and clap me in Irons for an escape trick.

Does any one have any info on the Blaqck Pearl that is sailing around the world? My kids are big fans of POTC and if the ship is going to hit any ports here, I'd like to take them. My sister works for Disney Adventure Magazine, where I first heard of this, but cannot find any schedule of events on her. Thanx! Capt Bo

Hi I was cruising around the web looking for info on Ojai and stumbled upon this event at Shoreline Village, probably around the Pirates Cove store, (which I have been meaning to wander back to to see if they still had a pirate watch I wanted so bad a few years back). Anyone going to this? May 6th 12-6 Shoreline Village Pirate Festival

I have just heard from the folks in Port Royal that the pirate festival is a go - it will be next May - they are waffling between the third and last weekend of the month. It depends when the heritage folks are available and working around some of the national festivals. So chart your course and save your doubloons for a voyage to the Wickedest City on Earth next May (2007). Will post more when I hear from our partners down there. By the way, if you love cannon, the fort has three of Henry Morgan's from his ship, some 40 others, and there are many more that just pop up around. We found a very, very large one used as a curb near the fort. Too funny. Events in the plannin…
