since the crew thread is locked, I'm adding a thread for the Fools Gold pirates and adding that we are looking for more lost souls. we are looking for part re-enactor/ part fantasy pirates in the midwest to join us as we go to ren fairs and pirate fests, special events, and movie primiers. You need to be a bit out-going and have some pirate gear, but mostly you need a spirit of adventure and a fondness for travel! apply at capnmerrydeath@foolsgoldpirates.comcom this is also our thread for the crew, since we seem to have lost our thread from before.

It's coming up on the three year anniversary of the forming of the Pirate Brethren of Texas, and since it's inception, we've had no more than 4 members. I'm going to post here, just in case anyone might be of the right persuasion (and perversion) to join our motley crew. Here's the information: The Pirate Brethren of Texas is a male only crew comprised of gay and gay-friendly men. We do not focus on making members dress historically accurate, and encourage members to dress more towards the Hollywood stereotype (because it's more comfortable!) if they wish. This does not mean that a member can't dress in full historically accurate garb, but they shouldn't complain to anot…

I a looking for an pirate re-enactors whom may be in the Virginia Area. I am a 17th century revolutionary war re-enactor with my Parents as I am 29, but being young and rebelious I am turning to pyracy (the wardrobe is cooler). We have done Jamestown, Williamsburg, and Surry as well as a huge one in Pennsylvania, I think the big re-enactment rendevous is in West Virginia this year however I dont believe any Pirates will be that landlocked with all dem lanlubbers anyhow, but it is a two week event and is actually a blast. Anyone? Bueller? Beau

<- I just liked his Captain-like look. Anyways, you can call me Guybrush, I'm a student at Northeastern University in Boston, MA and I'm looking for a crew of pirates who will like to perform their best in front of a group of college students. Now this isn't any ordinary event, but an event caled Piratefest. This will the first of its kind to be launched on campus and what a better way to initiate it than with a great group of pirates. Looking for a crew of 20 pirates even less or a few more. I will even accept of a crew of 8 pirates. Just somewhere around those figures so there's enough on campus. Anwyays my e-mail adress is vieira.f@neu.edu if you need to contac…

Looking for those wanting to get their pirate garb out for small events (150-200). We are also looking at having some live action events, maybe once a month. We know that the real deal is on the coast, but it is still fun with much smaller crowds. We have a lot of period SCA type groups here civil war, WW11, and the usual knights fighting in the parks. It's time for the pirates of the South to come out of hiding. John

Equal parts action, comedy, and history, Pirate's of Fortune's Folly is a pirate entertainment crew. Through entertainment, we hope to sneak a little knowledge into young minds (and the public at large). We are still seeking additional crew in the PA/NJ/DE area. Ability with a sword, a script, and/or a crowd preferred. Contact FortunesFollies@gmail.com for more information.

Ahoy all! I could use some information from those in pyracy.com who like to perform as pirates. I've received three requests alone this week from clients in different parts of the country who need pirates. We can't cover all the bases and I prefer to use my mates here instead of finding ones I don't know through No Quarter Given's listings (a great resource, I just don't know everyone there). So, if you'd like a referral (these are usually corporate gigs, festivals, special events, fundraisers and educational institutions), please provide the following here and I will create a little sheet to send to clients when they ask. Crewe: Location: Area Served (how far will a…

Recently moved to the area. I'm interested in Pirate gatherings, ren faires, historical re-enactment and just plain fun. Wouldn't mind a once a month "Pirate night" at a good pub. I'm open to charity events, boating events, educational events, etc. I love ren faire (around May or June in this area). I would personally like to start my own group if anyone is interested. If there's already an established crew, I don't mind joining up either. Located in the Portsmouth, NH area. Tiberius Flynn

Does anybody know of any Northern California Crews that I may join up with? I would really love to hook up with a crew and have no idea how. I myself live in Santa Cruz California which would be prime location for a Pirate crew and if there is one, I never heard of them if not, I have no clue how to begin one either. Also is there any one who works the Northen Cali Ren Faire? I was majorally dissapointed that there was no Pirate's row like there is in the Southern Cali Faire. I would love to see a crew up here in the Northen Cali faire. Any Help will be greatly appreciated.

Our Baratarians did the Battle of New Orleans reenactment for the second year, the weekend of January 6, and the group is starting to taking off with full sails and great guns! We are attracting new members, getting invited to other events, and doing some real planning for our future. Our main focus right now is still the 1815 Battle reenactment; but we also plan to branch out into other events and eras: Great Age of Piracy, prepare to be boarded! We are having an organizational meeting this coming Saturday, January 21, at noon, at the River's Edge Restaurant in the French Quarter: Decatur Street, directly across the street from Cafe Du Monde coffee / beignet shop. …

Pirates, I recently decided that I wouldn't mind taking next year off from school if I could sail. Trouble is, I need somewhere to do it. Of course, my preference would be to spend the time on the Royaliste, but I'd be willin' to consider just about anything. The only catch is money... I'd work for room and board, but I don't want one where I have to pay a substantial amount of money to work for someone. Any ideas? This is all still in the planning stages, of course...

Ahoy, goode shipmates all! I be William MacArthur, the SCA's Patron for the Loyal Guild of St. Erasmus in the Kingdom of Meridies, and Captain of the Seadogges, an Elizabethan virtual vessel. I'm interested in corresponding with anyone, on or off list, on any of the following topics: medieval / renaissance nautical matters; pirates of any historical era; nautical weapons of any sort; and at this point, I'd be especially interested in hearing from any Baratarians! Also: anyone who will be with the SCA for Gulf Wars in March, please note that our theme this year is The Vikings Are Coming! We will have mock ship battles (heavy / combat archery, and rapier), Viking themed c…

Ahoy, shipmates! My First Mate and I are homeported in New Orleans and were wondering if there are any events coming up in the area over the next few months, or any crews to sign aboard? Anyone involved with the Baratarian crew at the Battle of New Orleans re-enactment? Also, we're taking a vacation in May in St. Augustine, Florida. Any particular points of interest there for us? It seems that there be sharks in these waters. I have become the local contact point for a few people with interestes about pirates. The local area being Sheboygan, WI. Now I have told them all about the pirate festival in Port Washington and I think they are all going. We are so pumped that talk has started about starting a Pirate group up here. Now this was before I found out that some of you are from Port Washington. Now I have been following the threads as close as I can but I was wondering if there are other groups out there in our area? Also any local websites that I should be hitting to learn about local activites? So what information can you all give me?
