The wicked Lady Barbossa is recruiting able bodied sea men and women! Are you willing and able to attend events? Be active? Know a little or a lot of history and tell it to spectators? Show your trade be you a navigator or a simple deck hand? Do you want a crew that has plenty of events to attend? Ranks and stations offered. And who knows, perhaps a little compensation for yo'r troubles and travels! AYE! Sign Articles! with the Pirates and Buccaneers of the Resurrection. est. 2007 .... or in pirate era, in the Year of Our Lord, 1707. Definitely in need of some people willing to look like good pirates, as we are a historical fiction pirate crew, mixing hist…

Hello, there. I wonder whether someone will be able to help me with what may be an odd reuqest. I am in charge of events at Big Surf Waterpark at the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri, and this year we are hoping to have a "Pirate Day" on July 21. We have already planned a treasure hunt for the kids, eye patches, etc., but what we really need to make the day memorable for our guests are some real pirates to scare the crowd, perhaps have some sword fights, maybe even walk the plank over our wave pool... the possibilities for fun stuff are endless. Can anybody help me find some pirate enthusiasts locally who would be willing to help us out, have some fun, and earn some m…

Ideas

Ye everyone, I’ve been reading all the posts since the fair. I my opinion there are a lot of good ideas, I like the pre gate opening meeting. The snig up list I think would work best if done on a web site posted at least a week before the next event (if possible), I set up a cite for my family that helps us know what’s up.... ie. A potluck list (so not everyone brings chips) where the meeting will be, what we will be doing, etc.. So I's thinking if a web cite was set up it could be used for a pot luck list and lists of what we want to do when ...like reading ____ book at ___time and people can put there name on that time. That way it helps make things a little smoother w…

I'm looking for a crew that opperates out of Northern Virginia (Alexandria, Arlington). My options for travel are currently limited so I'm trying to find something close to home. Failing that... I'm wondering if there's any crewes that opperate strictly online? I suppose the Pub could considered such a crew but I wonder if there are others?

Anyone here in the Louisville, KY area? I live in southern Indiana and I live 1.5 miles from the Ohio River. I have two small boats and a couple of cannons, but very few people to play with. I am looking to start a river-pirate oriented group since Louisville and surrounding areas were known for that. (See Cave-in-Rock which is close enough for a week-long trip. Also New London, Indiana) Right now I play with a local group called the Skurvy Dog Clan, but very few of them are actually interested in pirates. I am already involved with a couple of events that are looking for river pirates, so if anyone is interested, let me know! Also, my biggest cannon is a 1781 U.S. Navy …

Ahoy the ship! the Elf Fantasy Fair in Europe is looking for a pirate crew! On the castlegrounds of the beautiful Castle de Haar, over 20.000 visitors will be drawn into the pirate athmosphere, with pirate music, a large pirate settlement and as our closing act: a grand pirate show on a ship, including cannons, rifles and treasure! We would like pirate re-enactment groups to re-enact the era of piracy at our event. There will be enough room for multiple tents and other forms of equipment, so we will try to create an entire village. Some expenses will be paid, but more important: we offer a whole weekend of pirate entertainment at a beautifull site. Those interested can…

Captin on ye list o books "the barefoot book of pirates" I beleive is short stoies. "who I became a pirate" is not piored but --- try this ----this book must of come from a far away place ,a very rich place for they must of had many painters and wizads. For it shows things I never has seen or heard of ---like sun block -would that be like rubbing mud all over one self. I don't think I would like that ..... Comparing the now that they know with the past . We did it all the time in my last giuld and it worked wonders getting them to inter act. Oh please tell me a book to read

Ahoy, folks. Whilst there's plenty of piratical history up here in Eastern Canada [running from 1602 through 1844], there's not so much in the way of Pirate Crews. Looking to touch base with crews from Eastern Canada or Northern New England ... shopping 'round, like. So, here's the hook.... Any takers? Or am I down to jigging without bait?
