We are forming a maritime living history group in Oregon surrounding historical - not Hollywood - pirates, and are looking for persons interested in joining. For the most part, most of us are either former members of traditional pirate entertainer crews wishing to delve further into historical living history, or members of previous living history groups. If you know what a "kit" is, then we'd love to hear from you, as well as anyone interested in examining a living history pirate/maritime group.

Ahoy the ship! the Elf Fantasy Fair in Europe is looking for a pirate crew! On the castlegrounds of the beautiful Castle de Haar, over 20.000 visitors will be drawn into the pirate athmosphere, with pirate music, a large pirate settlement and as our closing act: a grand pirate show on a ship, including cannons, rifles and treasure! We would like pirate re-enactment groups to re-enact the era of piracy at our event. There will be enough room for multiple tents and other forms of equipment, so we will try to create an entire village. Some expenses will be paid, but more important: we offer a whole weekend of pirate entertainment at a beautifull site. Those interested can…

Yr Gwyliad, The Welsh band of Elizabethan period "privateers" is looking for 6 to eight more folk to round out their crew for fight demos, choreographed swordplay and interactin with the public at the Shrewsbury Renaissance faire in Kings Valley Oregon. We're nowhere near as nice to look at at Drake and t'other big name sea dogs, just simple dealers in maritime aquisitions as it were. Whether ye'r male er female,(over 21 with a car) if ye can take instruction, enjoy a rough semblance of authenticity in yer character and costume and are willing to learn swordplay from the ground up we'd like to hear from ye! Or if ye have some experience theatrically let us know. Drop a …

Ahoy, shipmates! My First Mate and I are homeported in New Orleans and were wondering if there are any events coming up in the area over the next few months, or any crews to sign aboard? Anyone involved with the Baratarian crew at the Battle of New Orleans re-enactment? Also, we're taking a vacation in May in St. Augustine, Florida. Any particular points of interest there for us? SINCE we have had trouble getting a thread of our own on the crew section, I'll put this in here.. We are the Pirates of the Plains, the Corsairs of the Cornfields. The only pirate ship of pyrite, we are The Fool's Gold! http://www.foolsgoldpirates.com Left behind after a major typhoon, we are now based in the Midwest. We are from Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin and Minnesota. You will find us marauding at movies, kidnapping kids, plundering picnics, and fooling around at fests. We've been known to drink with Capt Morgan, and dine with Long John Silver. Remember, plundering and pillaging WHILE you wait. If we sack your village, do you want paper or plastic? Capn…

(Actually, we're a scurvy bunch of misfits; however, its all in the marketing...) We launched in the spring of 2006, a small band of folks who have met and gather at faires for some time and were looking to go to the next level. So our merry band has started out, guided by a few old salty dogs and a eagerness to learn and eventaully teach. We base out of Annapolistowne, Maryland and are always looking for new (or at least new to us) mates to add to the learning and merrymaking. Feel free to visit our yahoo group: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/GreatBayPrivateers/ Cheers! Tatu Ni'all FM, GBP

Ahoy, goode shipmates all! I be William MacArthur, the SCA's Patron for the Loyal Guild of St. Erasmus in the Kingdom of Meridies, and Captain of the Seadogges, an Elizabethan virtual vessel. I'm interested in corresponding with anyone, on or off list, on any of the following topics: medieval / renaissance nautical matters; pirates of any historical era; nautical weapons of any sort; and at this point, I'd be especially interested in hearing from any Baratarians! Also: anyone who will be with the SCA for Gulf Wars in March, please note that our theme this year is The Vikings Are Coming! We will have mock ship battles (heavy / combat archery, and rapier), Viking themed c…
