Happy Birthday my dearest love. We have had so many amazing years together and I'm looking forward to 5 times as many more. You are the wind in my sails. Thank you for your constant encouragement and support, and for always making me laugh. Thank you for liking all the things that I like, and for not pretending to be anything you aren't. I'm so very happy to continue sailing this ship with you! All my love and admiration, Maeve O'Treasaigh

A statuesque lass enters the pub with some trepidation and is greeted by the sociable barkeep whose efforts far exceed the necessity of his position. “Wat’ll it be lass?” he promptly asks as his rag sloshes past her and puddles the leavings on the bartop. The stranger scans the room but she evades an immediate reply. “Yer new ‘ere” the pub’s purveyor declares scanning her well crafted wardrobe for means to pay. “Aye, goode sir,” sheepishly comes her reply “Fearghaill . . . Aurora Fearghaill, ya may know mah ’usband. . . Alder, tha carpenter?” With a grin, a nod, Ray asks again, this time in a gesture of open hand across to the offerings that line his shelves. Som…

I'm sure many, many will disagree, but I gotta say - I'm sort of liking the new look of the Pub as it currently stands. I come here for info, not visual clutter. The old design, hell, I had to scroll half way down just to get past all the ads and the masthead. The basic black top with the "P" - I think - looks pretty sharp. Realistically speaking, I know there will likely be some bells and whistles added to the layout. But I certainly wouldn't complain if a certain level of simplicity was maintained. Just my 2 cents.

Though it hardly seems possible, it is officially time for the annual Pyracy Pub Secret Gift Exchange! Once again I've failed to request official permission, but I do beleive in self consistency. So ONWARD! TO ADVENTURE! Those of you who have been around know that participation in this event has waned substantially over the last few years. I would love to see a resurgance this year! However, please, before you commit to participating in this event be absolutely sure that you will follow through on the terms as provided below. I'm sure you all can understand how frustrating it is to be the person who is still waiting for their suprise well after the New Year...So don't c…

I'm just curious - what does the friends function do for us? I don't get it. Is it just a warm fuzzies thing? (Seriously, I'm genuinely curious.)

Happy Birthday Mr. Cross and all of the "folks" that reside within your tortured psyche! Congrats on being able to "legally" swill rum and other libations from your various countries of origin, and I hope that you enjoy yourselves during the upcoming weekend! Hey, who's gonna be the designated driver? Tignor? ...... or Cross? or perhaps one of the others. Happy Birthday Mates!!

I was signaled by Cap'n Blackfoot that this be a fine port, so I dropped in for a little visit. My name is Scarlett Morgan and I be stuck on this god forsaken spit of land called Oklahoma. I hear tell of some fine pirates in these waters and would like to make their acquiantance, savy?

Greetings all, I couldn't remember if we'd ever discussed doing our gift exchange this year or not before the old pub crashed. So, nosy pirates are wondering .... are we doing the Secret Santa Gift Exchange this year? If so, count me in to participate! Rumba and GoF - are you all still running it? Just curious... Emerald

Okay you have 30 minutes at a childrens event to discuss the life of pirates. Basically showing the difference between the Hollywood image and reality. What facts would you work in? I actually am in the process of putting a presentation like this together and could use all the help I can get :)

Ahoy there, all. With all the name calling and bad blood that seems to be around right now, I thought I'd take Quill's suggestion and start a new thread. What can we do to foster cooperation between various ships? I'd be more than willing to do a dinner event with crews of any ship that wanted to show up. What say ye?

Ahoy, all pirates everywhere! With a heart both proud of our legacy and heavy at our loss, I must announce that Pyracy.com is closing the doors of the 'Pub' at the start of the new year. The Pub (as it exists now in website form) no longer draws in the pirate hoards it once did, and so we will be moving the Pub to more 'social' seas and we ask that anyone wishing to save photos, stories, discussions and any other thing contained on the website, please do so before the end of the year. Then we will commit the website to the deep.

I found the Pub last year and have spent the last twelve months discovering further internet pirate goodness such as Bilgemunkey, Pirate Magazine, many merchants, etc. And while these are great things one and all I must confess to getting crazier than a starving bilge rat being stuck here in the landlocked Rockies far away from all of these lovely events, festivals, and the like. Any other similarly afflicted scurvy dogs out there or am I truly stuck in this hell of a locker alone? Misery love company and a nice shot of rum after all…

One of the things I've become interested in over the last few years is fountain pens. I haven't followed a typical fountain pen enthusiast path preferring, as usual, to do things my own way. But I never completely abandoned sea related things, so there was no passing up this glorious pen by Ryan Krusac. Moose antler, ebony and mother of pearl. It's so finely crafted that the north star sits above the prow of the ship when the pen is capped. What's new with you? What's old? What is both?
