Simple really matey's!Just post a quote ye likes the most! {EXAMPLE}: :) Think not disdainfully of death, but look on it with favor; for even death is one of the things that Nature wills. Marcus Aurelius Antoninus (121 AD - 180 AD),

I have recently joined the ranks of singlehood. I decided to see how many of us pirates are treading the high seas on our own. If ye be single belly up to the bar, the first round is on me.

Anyone want to play a song lyric game? Someone writes a few lines from a song and then everyone else trys to guess what song it is and who sung it. Once someone gets the answer they get to ask the next question. I'll start: I know someday you'll have a beautiful life, I know you'll be a sun......

So, I mentioned at PiP to a few people that I have managed a superhero costume here or there, and I promised to post pics. So, here they are... The Dark Phoenix (Original costume) The Black Widow (Ultimate Universe version) Dawn There are many other comic book girls I want to recreate - Scarlet Witch, Marvel Girl, the green and gold phoenix costume, Batgirl, and I am even thinking about the Tim Burton version of Catwoman. Lets not get into why I have a whole bunch of stretchable latex in my posession.... So, what non-piratey costumes have you done over the years?

This is not a thread for long rants. It is just a place to post the little things in daily life that bug you, or that people do that make you roll your eyes, and wonder "What the frack were they thinking?" Here are three of mine—which all happened recently. People who, parked on the street, open their car door wide, with no regard to traffic behind them. Which makes those driving down said road have to swerve into the other lane of on-coming traffic to keep from taking the idiot's door off. Grocery shoppers who stroll down the middle of the row with their carts, blocking people trying to go around them from either direction. They go 2 mph, studying every stinken label,…

So followin' in Capt. Booty's footsteps of cool word games, here's another one. Tell us a true secret about yerself in one sentence or less. I'll go first: I once was married.

Have you seen one too many "Sparrow" at the local Ren Fest? How about the "Hot Topic" pirate wench with the spiked heel boots? Or the cheap dollar store pirate with the plastic hat and boot covers? Dread the pirate who bought the shirt, hat, and cutlass to match his jeans and white high tops? Now we all love pirates of all types but let's face it... some times you just want to give these blokes a few pointers.

Many people's user names are pretty straight-forward, but some of them appear to have some history or other meaning behind them. So what does your user name mean? (Fancy, I expect full disclosure from you. )

This is the "Two-Word, Alternating-Word, Word-Association" thread. It is like the One Word word association thread, but there is more to it. Every time you post you post two words unrelated to each other, yet related to the two unrelated words posted before you. There would be an invisible X between the post before you and your own post. From the post preceding yours, the first word connects to your second word, and the second word connects to your first word. Say the first person, me, begins with: Tree--Refridgerator The next person associates a word with the last person's second word Groceries-- and then follows that with a word that is associated with …

Here's an interesting question for the male pirates (or the lady pirates, I don't want to leave anyone out). What do you like in a woman? Physically that is. What do you notice first? Be blunt, I doubt anyone will be offended. I'm just terribly curious.....

It has been two months since I last wore my pirates clothes. Considering the amount of feasting and drinking, and drinking... and drinking... that I have done since then, I'm sure I'll be in for a shock when it comes time to get dressed for the next event. (Mmm... rum belly...) Thus, in the spirit of threads long dead, I am creating the newest edition of an age old favorite, the weight loss thread. Here's my promise to you. Since coming to the pub is a treat, starting tomorrow, I will deny myself the pleasure of coming to the pub, unless I have done a minimum of 20 minutes excercise beforehand. The first place I post will be here, which should help me turn this int…

I did a look back and didn't see a topic on this, so I thought I'd throw it out there. Things are kinda' slow here... What are your favorite movies? I think you can tell a lot about a person by the movies they like. I'm going to suggest you stretch beyond the movie POTC, since many people have a bias there ("Yes, we know that one. Anything else?"). Here are a whole slew of mine: Animal House (IMHO, Tim Matheson is second only to John Goodman as far as being underrated as an actor.) Back to the Future ("Ah... Are you telling me you built a time machine... out of a DeLorean?!) The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari ("...") Casablanca Cool Runnings Goldfinger The Good, The Bad…

We should start something really fun and bizarre called the Phone-a-Pirate Program, where we randomly pass out our phone numbers to pirates that we have always wanted to talk to and call them. Here are the rules. Give out your phone number. Get or make a call to a pirate you have never spoken with. Carry on a conversation no less than one minute and no more than three. Tell us all about it. Yes, as I told Dorian earlier this evening in chat, I have eaten the lion's share of cheap, oreo cookie knockoffs and I haven't had enough sleep. I shouldn't even be allowed on here in this condition.

What vehicle would you own if you could? (Note: This idea stolen directly from a status comment made by Tartan Jack.) I've talked about my Delorean occasionally and I really enjoyed owning that, although that experience is the reason I added "...if you had more money than brains" to the title. (You may think that owning a collector car would be neat, but the reality is another thing entirely. Trust me.) Personally, I have always thought the Auburn Boattail Speedster was the most beautiful car ever made. Having recently visited the Auburn/Cord/Duesenberg museum in Auburn, IN on my way to Paynetown, I can even show you pictures (...and I even like the color.)

Ok, we have discussed shaving and not shaving. Beard or not, what do you like in a man or woman. So's I put's it to you all. What is your favoite perfume or smell on a man or woman? Or what do you use? Being in Miami I get's the load of smells on the lasses. I get the latin, caribbean and everything in between. I like the citrus smelling perfumes my self. I usually wear Fierce or Issay Miyake. So lads and lasses fess up.

The Python Game 1 2 3 4 6

I can't see a python quote and let it go. Mostly because of how great the pythons were. So this is the thread to get your daily quote on. You can't win the game. You can't loose the game. You really can't play the game wrong. Post a quote and be an instant winner. "This game makes no sense and it doesn't go anywhere." I think they would be proud. "Wenn ist das Nunstück git und Slotermeyer? Ja! ... Beiherhund das Oder die Flipperwaldt gersput."

New Zorro Flick? okay... not exactly a pirate... But the guy dresses in black, carries a sword AND a whip, and always gets the girl in the end. So... was I halucinating, or did I catch a bit of a trailer out of the corner of my eye the other nite while deeply involved in homework? Anyone know whassup with Zorro??

Welcome to The Whine Cellar. Here you can indulge in self-pity to your heart's desire. Just a few rules: 1.Whining only - no insults, name-calling or nit-picking. 2. Not sure if you are truly whining? If your complaint begins with "oh, poor me" - you are whining. Remember, you are the victim here. 3. Please keep your whines to a reasonable length - we all have a lot of whining to do. If you feel a long tirade coming on, you will need to take it outside. 4. If you are having a wonderful day, stay out. OK, time to taste some fine whines, people. Get out your glasses...

So the local coffee emporium on the main street corner of town to which I stroll on random mornings during my daily sojourn had this special for Easter (yes, I know, that was a few weeks ago). For some exorbitant rate normally associated with an entire meal at a fast-food restaurant, you could get a flavoured cappuccino with a peep duck or swan or whatever that bird-like blob is called floating in it. Odd. "Bethany," I began, using my favorite dyed-shock-of-blue-haired barista's full name due to the gravity of the question, "do peeps melt in coffee?" "I don't know, I've never tried one. The kids order them at night when I'm not here." Beth is 26, so I guess she's t…
