What was your favorite toy as a kid? What happened to it? Mine was the 1978 Death Star and I still have the bits and pieces of it. (Actually, it's not in that bad of shape - I always put it back in the box when I was done playing with it.)

I have a question for the regular Surgeon's Journal readers. Since the Journals are so long, do you prefer them to be posted: -one chapter at a time as I finish them or -in their entirety. I am not posting this as a poll because I'd appreciate your comments/suggestions. Thanks!

Wasn't sure if i should have posted this here or in the food section but since i have no recipe here it is... OK, I've been in Japan for a year now but haven't been home for about 6 months. The wife is not the greatest cook in the world so now that I'm going home I'm going to be resuming my duties in the galley. I'm trying to come up with a fitting piratical (yet yummy) meal for the crew upon my return. No luck yet. The wife is allergic to sea food and son is pretty picky (unless its sloppy joes). Any one have any ideas?

A young man named John received a parrot as a gift. The parrot had a bad attitude and an even worse vocabulary. Every word out of the bird's mouth was rude, obnoxious and laced with profanity. John tried and tried to change the bird's attitude by consistently saying only polite words, playing soft music and anything else he could think of to 'clean up' the bird's vocabulary. Finally, John was fed up and he yelled at the parrot. The parrot yelled back. John shook the parrot and the parrot got angrier and even more rude. John, in desperation, threw up his hand, grabbed the bird and put him in the freezer. For a few minutes the parrot squawked and kicked and screa…

I've been gone from the forum because i lost my interest in piracy for awhile. It happens yearly and i'm just settling in my new apartment still. Takes me awhile cause i moved alot in the matter of a year. Three places in under a year. So it was hard for me to keep going. I lost my interest but i'm slowly regaining it back and even one of my hobbies is going to the swap meet and hunting for gold. I'll take pictures of what i've found so far. I've found some pretty pricey things. But as i said my interest is coming back i got my well newish tatto of my nick on my feet BlackFoot Roberts. I've been working like crazy but im going to hopefully have some free time to work o…

Admit it; even though we may be pirates, there are those times in life we just go "awww" and whatever it was it warms our hearts. So the question is, whats the cutest thing you saw today? Post those pics, videos or whatever it was. Here I'll start, this is the cutest thing I saw today.

Thanks to the help of many of my Pirate brethern already I now have only $345 left to go to hit my goal. The event coordinators still do not think I will make it in 8 days and I would love to prove them worng. There are so many of you that have proven my belief that we are, if not somewhat dysfunctional, a family none the less. I still have faith that the rest of my Pirate brethern will help me to reach my goal before the cutoff on Oct 1. On behalf of my son and the other children involved with the Special Olympics of NC I thank you for your continued support. Please visit www.firstgiving.com/chrissuttle and give at least $1 and then pass the link along to all your f…

To all my Pirate Brethern, $20 is all I need to hit the halfway mark for my Special Olympics fundraiser. I am looking for 20 pirates to give $1 each or 10 to give $2. Just a couple bucks to help make the Special Olympics for my son and the other children involved this year one to remember. Please, just help push me over the halfway mark since I only have 9 days left.

I just need 600 pirates to give $1 each and I'll hit my goal for Special Olympics. Or 300 pirates to give $2 each and, well you get my point. I need $600 more by Oct 1. It really is for a great cause and I am truly grateful to my pirate brethren who have helped out so far. Now I just need a reason to thank the rest of you. Please go to www.firstgiving.com/chrissuttle to help out.

For TLAPD Blackbeard has decided to part with one of his cutlasses in exchange fer a small amount of plunder on yer part. If ye reach in to yer treasure chest and can find it in yer black hearts to give $1 then yer name will be cast into the captains chest and when midnight rolls around a name will be drawn to receive said steel. It's only a dollar and ye could have another sword to add to yer arsenal. Go to www.firstgiving.com/chrissuttle for a chance to win. Surely he can spare a dlar or two for a good cause and a chance to win a cutlass.

Well the votes are coming in for the next crazy stunt for me to do for my fundraiser and so far the #1 idea is to stage a sword fight between a pirate and a guy in a chicken suit with French bread for swords. If I hit $300 by 9 pm tonight then I'll post the video on Monday. Be sure to check out the website at www.firstgiving.com/chrissuttle

Everyone here in Raleigh thinks I'm crazy but it's for a great cause. To raise money for the Special Olympics I have agreed to repell over 30 stories from the roof of the Wachovia building in downtown Raleigh as Blackbeard. The target goal for this to happen is $1000.00. That comes out to only $1 a member of the pub. Please help me reach the goal of $1000 by going to www.firstgiving.com/chrissuttle Every little bit helps. Fundraiser ends Oct. 1 so please go check out the site as soon as you can. If every member gave only $1 it would be the largest amount raised by one group ever for this event. I will post video of the "decent" if I reach the goal by the deadline. Thank…
